I have been getting TMS treatments here for depression and see an improvement. Staff is very friendly and knowledgable.
This "doctor" saw me at Rio Vista Behavioral Health and decided to re diagnose me after seeing me for a total of 10 minutes over 11 days. He and his staff then refused to fill out any of my paperwork for my employer verifying that I had been there and that Oscar had seen me. El Paso's finest, truly.
Dr. Perez, Jocelyn and Sandra are great providers! The entire team was welcoming, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to patient care. I would absolutely recommend this clinic to anyone looking for thoughtful, supportive, and professional psychiatric care.
Dr. Perez and his team are amazing! They listen to patients thoroughly and make sure they address any and all concerns before deciding what treatment plan is best for them. I would highly recommend them if you need a psychiatry provider!
I had a telehealth call with Dr Perez. I explained my situation and how my previous psychiatrist had cold turkey-ed my Ativan. I explained it caused hallucinations, involuntary twitching and insomnia. I ended up in the ER. The put me on another log acting benzo temporarily until I could find another psychiatrist. Because I take codeine for severe lumbar spine pain I’ve been stereotyped and treated horribly. I asked if he could help me. He told me he wanted to put me in an inpatient psych hospital for observation to determine what to do with me. I wasn’t having a psychotic episode nor was I suicidal. I asked him was he aware how horrible those places were because I’d been in one before. I began to cry and told him my mother just had a large stroke and was bedridden and couldn’t speak. All I wanted was to be near family at this point and did he realize he’d be taking me away from them? He looked at me in shock. I basically told him where to stick it and ended the call. The freaking psychiatrist with an inflated sense of self are blind to how awful these places are. The come in once a week and sit behind some big desk and sneer at ppl who suffer from horrific psych issues and HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE HORRIBLE PLACES!! If you understand what I’m talking about then run from this guy. He’s arrogant and disconnected from his patients.
I cannot express how grateful I am for Dr. Perez's time. From the moment I stepped into the office, I felt a genuine sense of concern and commitment. Dr. Perez is incredibly knowledgeable, and their approach to treatment worked pretty well for me He made me feel heard and respected, creating a safe space where I could openly discuss my issues without judgement. I have gained invaluable tools to manage conflict in a better way. I highly recommended
After a long time looking for a good psych doctor, I'm so happy I found Dr. Perez. He took the time necessary to explain my test results to me, and to actually discuss the medications he was placing me on and address any initial concerns I had. The rest of his team is phenomenal as well, and really take the time to listen to any questions or concerns I have had while working with them. Overall, I am just so happy I found this provider and his team!
For many years I’ve been to several different psychiatrists and never found one that I felt was competent enough to care for me the way I needed to be cared for. I finally found Dr. Perez and since have had excellent care. I highly recommend him and his staff. You will be well taken care of!
Definitely wish I could give zero stars. I have only been here twice and both times I didn’t see anyone until way after my appointment time. When I saw Dr. Perez, he did not even do so much as introduce himself. I waited over an hour to see him for not even 15 minutes. The entire staff is just really slow. All they do is waste your time. Completely unprofessional. The nurse practitioner was decent, but again, I waited well over my appointment time to even see her. The only reason I am still here is because I need checkups after the new medications. Once I find something that works for me I’ll definitely be calling Tricare and looking for a new psychiatrist. P.S. How are you all going to tell ME what my wait time was? AGAIN, unprofessional.
