I’ve been to multiple doctors throughout my life. This one sets itself apart. You know, the difference between feeling unwelcome and feeling right at home? This Doctor makes you feel right at home and actually listens to your concerns and truly cares about your well being. I’ve been seeing them now for about 2 years and things have never been better. When you find a Doctor that actually cares about you, stick with it. That is why I highly recommend Victorian Healthcare. They care!!!

Edit to respond to owner: I was not irate- I never once was angry. I was crying, which you could say was hysterical, and I'll say sure- because I was threatened with CPS as a new mother who was hormonal. I made it clear to the person answering the phone that I was a breastfeeding mother, and that I was looking to get on adhd medication because I didn't want to be away from my breastfed baby for 2 hours for no reason, which happened anyway. I didn't tell the office about my previous provider. I told the nurse about the previous provider stopping them when I was pregnant, I didn't return to the previous np post pregnancy. You can absolutely deny it all you want, but I didn't pull it out of thin air. She knows what she said to me, and the fact that you or she doesn't like that I've stated it on a public forum isn't my problem. I also love the way you are framing that I am doctor shopping when your office was literally the second place that I looked into, and only because my son's pediatrician suggested it. The narcissism that an np knows better than doctors and scientists is wild. Even your response speaks volumes. Original review: I felt let down. I set up the appointment stating that I had ADHD, I was nursing, and I felt that I really needed to get back on my medications. The miscommunication between the front desk and her caused me to delay my treatment further, causing more distress. I went in and explained I was nursing, I take a low dose of 5mg methylphenidate (1 pill a day/every other day; two pills on days where I really need to focus). I explained I have poor memory, time blindness, and lack of focus. That low doses of medication tend to hit me hard as I rarely take meds, even tylenol. She stated that as a nursing mother she wouldn't treat me. I explained that I've talked to my son's pediatrician and that he's stated that the low dose I take wouldn't even pass through milk in a way that could be noteworthy. Even upon looking at searches: WebMD, National Library of Medicine, Infant Risk Center, and Center for Women's Mental Health all state that a low dose (which a low dose for Methylphenidate is 15mg-20mg) is fine for baby in cases where the mother requires medication. My son's pediatrician even noted that he has other patients whose mothers take medication without issue. So explain to me why the NP looked me in the eyes and threatened me with CPS. She asked me why I wanted to give my baby meth. She told me that no women are on adhd medications while nursing. When I mentioned that I was planning to stop nursing in a month (he'd be 6 months) she mom-shamed me saying that was the bare minimum and I should nurse longer. She told me all of this while I was crying trying to explain the situation, which she refused to hear. I asked if there was anything that I could do that could help, she said no. I asked aside from medications, she said no, that there wasn't anything that I could do besides medication and that she wouldn't provide them. She didn't listen. She doesn't understand how hard it is to care for a baby when your memory lacks as bad as mine does. She shamed me about not nursing for longer without realizing that my supply has been suffering from forgetting to eat/drink and that I have edema from forgetting to urinate. My husband has spent $200 in the last two months alone just trying to help me bring my supply back up from drops to just enough to sustain him. I've done literally everything under the sun to be able to breastfeed my child. She didn't listen that I completely stopped my medications as as soon as I was told to because I DO care about my baby. I literally had my son without any medication, not even tylenol. I love my baby, I'm not a bad mother. She treated me like I was addicted to my meds, I was literally just trying to get help. I only tried to get back on my medications after my child's pediatrician, a doctor who literally treats my child, told me it would be safe. I will never see another NP again.
