I had an appointment on 04/23 at 10 am. I received a message at 04/22 at 1:00pm and their offices asked that I complete a 15-minute consult based on my scores from the C-SRSS form. I attempted to make that work even with such short notice but could not answer the phone because I was working. My appointment for the next day was automatically canceled. It doesn’t seem fair to have my scheduled appointment canceled due to what I perceive to be a lapse in communication and scheduling capabilities. If I had canceled the appointment at the same time I received the initial message I would have been penalized $250. I believe our time is valuable, and should be recognized.
Bad vibes. Told me “ sorry she was talking too fast” when I asked her to repeat herself. I’m pregnant my mind is everywhere especially on bad days. Egocentric ‘dr.’ 😒
PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE REVIEW AND DO NOT BRIEFLY SCAN IT. Two years ago, I was disappointed in Dr. Robinson. One year ago, I had conflicted feelings. Today, I am clear on how I feel about my experience with Dr. Robinson. Going back about four years, my fiance and I took part in several couple's counseling sessions with Dr. Robinson in order to make sure that we were ready for marriage. After several individual sessions and couple's sessions, several issues were identified. While each session provided greater clarity into ourselves and our relationship, I was growing frustrated with the fact that my fiance and I were not finding our way back to each other (the relationship was not progressing in a positive direction). We eventually broke up. For that reason, I was disappointed in Dr. Robinson for a long time. After about a year of reflection, I started to replay certain aspects of the session and certain things that she helped me to realize about myself. I started to understand why my fiance and I were NEVER meant to be together. For that, my feelings about Dr. Robinson started to change. The problem (during my time with Dr. Robinson) was that I thought I wanted that relationship to work. My seeing Dr. Robinson (at least at that time) was to "buy" a result... meaning that I go to her sessions, I pay for her sessions and she will FIX our problems. That's NOT how therapy works. That's NOT how couples counseling works. Sometimes you gain clarity in certain situations that aren't meant for you. It took me a long time to realize that and it was in that moment that I was able to heal. I was finally OK with my experience... in both the relationship with my fiance and my time with Dr. Robinson. If you want someone to FIX things to your favor, Dr. Robinson is not the person for you. If you want to gain clarity, healing and the skills to be a better version of yourself- see Dr. Robinson.
Dr. Robinson is exceptionally skilled as a therapist. I have had a dozen or so therapists over the years, and while I have not had really bad experiences (with one exception), she has by far impacted my life the most dramatically. She is VERY impressively credentialed, but I also think she was the kind of student who really took her education seriously! She has a passion and a gift for her work, and she did an incredible job of modeling consummate professionalism. I know she cares about her patients, but she diligently maintained boundaries with me (which I appreciate and learned from). Bear in mind that with any therapist, you are usually going to take away proportionally to what you put in. I was ready for therapy, and I think that’s part of why she is so effective for me. She also was careful to develop a good rapport with me, and made it easy to trust and respect her opinion. I felt like she gave me the opportunity to provide meaningful feedback, which was actually difficult because she does such an excellent job! I discussed my sessions with a friend in the same field and he confirmed that the type of therapy she does with me is quite difficult, and I think she executed it flawlessly. Dr. Robinson improved my life immeasurably, and I would strongly recommend her to any friend or family member.
Dr. Crystal has helped me, ALOT. She’s helped me when I was having a panic attack at work and allowed me to come to next opening and talked me down. She’s allowed me to come with my 1 year old, and let me just fully be me, and express all that I need too. I appreciate her professionalism, her expertise , and the years of schooling she took just to help those like me with mental health issues. Go to her if you can!
Crystal is a consummate actress that pretends she does not judge. She pretends to care and will charge your credit card without permisssion. Crystal advised me that she was not allowed to write me a letter for an emotional support animal for my anxiety? This was after 2 months of therapy. She stated she was not that kind of doctor and it was not allowed...however she would do some research on which type of doctor that could write the letter? Wow! It gets better ...When I recited back to her what I found on Google as to whom can write a letter for emotional support animals she immediately started to back peddle in her excuses. Crystal responded by saying, " Im taking this personal and that I don't need an emotional support animal....I could work through my anxiety on my own?!" I said , " Hey, if you don't want to write the letter or feel uncomfortable just tell me the truth. For god sake don't lie to me and say you have to be a medical doctor to write me an emotional support animal letter. After much ado...I wished her lying self well and asked her to never call me again. Then she began to harass me via email stating my insurance was not valid and began to charge my credit card the full amount of sessions! This was retaliation and theft! I still have not recieved my refund on my credit card after my emails requesting her to refund my money. She is a crook and a lie! She even laughed in one of my sessions...what a rip off. Do yourself a favor and do not let this person in your life.
