Whatever is going on behind the scenes here are suspect to say the least. They constantly claim they don’t have documents and trying to put people out of class. The vocational classes (they make mandatory for everyone rather you work already or not) it’s a joke by the time they let everyone in we listen to them “teach” things I learned in 9th grade speech. I’ve learned nothing from this place it’s been more of a trigger for me in my recovery than anything.
yet ANOTHER incredibly frustrating and unprofessional experience with a specific provider. I will not reveal his name for privacy purposes. During our appointment, I explained the importance of my medication, which is essential to avoid withdrawal. Later that day, my pharmacy informed me that the prescription was out of stock. I immediately took the appropriate steps by contacting patient support, who assured me they would relay the message to the doctor to transfer the prescription to another pharmacy. Four hours later, nothing had been done. As someone with a schedule and a life, I can’t afford to go into withdrawal because of avoidable delays. I decided to look up his contact information online, which is public and listed in multiple places, and called the number provided, expecting to leave a voicemail. It turned out to be his personal cell. Instead of treating the situation with understanding or urgency, he immediately became angry that I had called. Even after I calmly explained why I reached out and repeated that patient support had already contacted him, he continued to speak over me and just kept repeating that I needed to go through patient support. It was like talking to a wall. Despite being fully aware of the issue, he still refused to act. This led to a completely avoidable situation where I will now have to cancel my vacation plans that i made over 5 months ago, all because he chose to prioritize his frustration over a patient’s urgent medical need. This doctor talks but does not listen, shows no urgency or empathy in serious situations, and ultimately demonstrated that he was willing to let a patient suffer rather than take a simple corrective action. I would not recommend ips to anyone seeking reliable or compassionate care.
The worst. Actually impossible to get an appointment. They scheduled me 2 months ago on a day they were closed barely reached out to me yesterday to reschedule the appointment that is next week and couldn’t get me in until mid July. Not to mention I’ve had previous appointments with them where I waited in a ZOOM queue for 3 hours for them to answer 5 mins till close to say they have to reschedule me. Even the guy who answered the call said that happens often in evening appointments to make a morning appointment. Then the same thing happened at that appointment too. I made sure to log in at least 30 mins before the appointment time and when it was approaching an hour past my scheduled appointment time I called them for them to tell me I was late and had to be rescheduled even though I was on ZOOM waiting.
This is easily the worst mental health provider I have ever used. They will schedule you for days their office is closed and I've never spent less than 30 minutes waiting on hold. Today I have a phone appointment scheduled at 1:20 and 45 minutes later I was still waiting. AVOID THIS PLACE!
These people have toyed with my health for too long. I previously wrote a bad review on here but deleted it because they had seemed to be doing good lately. I regretted deleting it that very day because once again, to no one's surprise, they couldn't fit me in for an appointment. The woman who my call was rolled over to said she would refill my prescription for a week and once again, NO PRESCRIPTION.This is the 5TH TIME I have gone into withdrawal because of these people. I'm NEVER late to my appointments, all of this is on y'all. And to the workers: CONSISTENT access to this medication is crucial, interruptions in treatment can lead to severe withdrawal symptoms and cravings, significantly increasing the risk of relapse. People who resume opioid use after a disruption MAT treatment face a heightened risk of overdose due to reduced opioid tolerance. In this context, understanding how to access to subutex in an emergency can be lifesaving. DO YOUR JOBS PLEASE, WE ARE PEOPLE TOO WHO HAVE LIVES AND JOBS JUST LIKE YOU. We NEED this medication or we are immobile for everything. That means missing work, tending to our children, even getting out of bed is close to impossible. I do this every week and it's getting really tiring worrying about not getting my medication and skipping doses to save some just in case YOU won't do your job and refill it. This place is inhumane and I strongly recommend not going through them unless you absolutely HAVE to.
I've been a client here for a year and it was a good start , different doctors almost everytime I had an appointment, but they were good about getting my meds...BUT, that all changed. The last 3 appointments Ive had , I waited on hold for more than 3 hours ONLY to be told I was going to be rescheduled and if I needed meds to go to Parkland Hospital. If you live in Dallas or have ever been to Parkland , then you know it's a nightmare wait. I WOULD NOT 🚫 recommend IPS ,unless u don't mind the wait and are willing to risk not getting your buprenorphine / Suboxone(same thing) prescription. Go to Nexus. 💯 Whatever you do don't relapse. Keep up the good work, u can do it!
Erika is a fantastic worker you guys have and is incredibly nice and helpful when I check in. She knows how to handle herself and I commemorate her for that as for multiple times for the last month she has been wonderful helping me. I know a lot of people abuse these free services so for others please don’t do this and get help since it’s free don’t ruin another chance at life. I have only had trouble with the person who did my assume that I will not name for privacy reasons when I started. Other than that fantastic service and they do care.
This place is the absolute worst.....when they had you come for in person appointments, it was a lot better. Now they have you call in and leave you on hold for hours and then hurry you through a 2 min talk when they do answer. My last 2 appointments were scheduled at 10am and I was on hold for 2hrs 45mins for 1 and 3 and a half hrs for second one. They need a better system! I don't have anxiety, but hearing that hold music makes me absolutely crazy and mad!!! I appreciate what they do, but they have absolutely no respect or organization for those of us that schedule an appointment and call at that time. A 10am appointment should not have to wait on hold til 1:30, period!!!!!
I’ve been coming here since 2020 for MAT and they helped save my life. Of course the wait times are long and they deal with some very unruly patients so it is by no means a glamorous job but the services they offer is invaluable for people in need so just give a little grace and try and be grateful we have something like this available to us. Just make sure never to miss or be late.
I'm sure the clinical staff are wonderful. However, please train your office staff better. I called this morning to get a couple of forms completed for my employer. Because it was urgent, I asked to speak to someone I had already spoken to last week about my family member who is the patient. She was not friendly, had no telephone skills, told me she couldn't put me through to anyone and that I would have to fax my paperwork in. It would be completed in 2-4 weeks. When she gave me the fax number, I wrote it down, and repeated it back and guess what? It wasn't correct. So now I've lost yet another day trying to get the necessary forms completed and will cost me another days pay because I have to get these completed before I return to work. Two words. Process improvement.
