I should have read through these comments before my appointment yesterday. As it turns out, I am also currently experiencing the same situation with a prescription that has not been sent to my pharmacy. I had my appointment pretty early, so I thought my pharmacy would have my RX before they closed. I walked in a quarter til close and they hadn't received anything. I checked again around noon the next day, still nothing. I called the doctor's office and the woman on the phone assured me they sent it off yesterday. She mentioned that she would have the provider "resend" the script today, Thursday, because there would NOT be providers in the office on Friday. Surprise surpise, I went to CVS again, and still nothing! I guess I'm stuck until Monday. It's so incredibly frustrating.

My son was a patient of Dr Fenton for many years. He had adhd. He took his own life in November 2021. He had expressed to me (his mother) that he didn’t want to take so many meds. He was told he couldn’t be a patient if he didn’t take as prescribed. He felt like the meds were affecting him mentally. He took some meds that could have suicidal side effects. I never met this Dr but based on my son’s experience and death I believe he was over medicated. I would not recommend this Dr.

On 5/16/24, I had a 1:30pm initial consult. I was checked in, returned my consent forms, and drug tested by 1:35. The appointment itself did not begin until 2pm. During the appointment, I was asked to iterate medical history that I had already filled out to the best of my ability with the online paperwork. This would be less frustrating if I did not have working memory issues, which is why I carefully fill out any pre-appointment medical history with as much information as I can accurately give. After the appointment, I was promised that my medication refill would be submitted on 5/17/24 by end of day. On the following Monday, my medications were not submitted. I called the office at 11am today, Tuesday May 21st. I was told that I would receive a call by end of day. At 2:55pm, I called back to ask what was going on. I was told that I would receive a call between 3pm and 3:30pm, before closing at 4pm. By the time the office closed at 4pm, I still had not received a call. Not only were my medications not sent to the pharmacy, but now I am dangerously close to running out of my mood stabilizer. As a patient with Bipolar II and ADHD, I am incredibly susceptible to medication changes, drastic mood swings, and dangerous impulsivity without my proper doses, especially going from a full dose of my medication to...none, cold-turkey. Considering that I notified the office of my inpatient stay, post-suicide-attempt in March, I am astounded at how little they seem to care about patient safety. I estimated a total of 10 days medication at my home on 5/16. It has now been 6 of those 10 days, and the pharmacy cannot fill the prescription instantaneously. Besides the lack of care and disregard for my safety, the office also over-charged my insurance (as I have met my personal out of pocket this year) but because the copay was small, I did not bother arguing about it at the time of my appointment. And finally, the parking lot for the doctor's office is a $5 fee per visit, and they do not validate parking. While this is only an irritation for me, it seems incredibly unkind to charge a patient for their parking, appointment, and required drug test, all separately. I am deeply disappointed in this facility, and I will not return.

I went to go see Dr. Kimberly Thompson for an evaluation and I felt very dismissed by her. I felt rushed and like I wasn’t being listened to. I only spoke with her for less than 5 minutes and she had already made up her mind about not diagnosing me. I spoke with her assistant or something for about 10 minutes prior to her entering the room. So about 15 minutes (if that) total speaking with them. I think she had other patients to see since my appointment was at 10:15 AM and they didnt see me until after 11 AM. The appointment with my insurance was a $50 copay and I also had to pay for parking which was $5. It is super confusing to get into the building too as you have to go through one elevator to get to the lobby and then get into another one for the actual hospital building. Theres no signage outside the elevators letting you know that you are going the correct way. They also keep their window shut so you have to wait for when the receptionist opens it to get up and go talk to her. Since they have a “do not knock on window” sign at the front desk. Waited for about 5-10 minutes before I actually got greeted by the front desk.

I’ve been a patient of Live Oak Counseling for some time. Seeing Dr. Fenton over the years has changed my life in so many positive ways. His experience and knowledge has served me well and has enlightened me to learn a lot about myself. His office staff are well trained in their positions with patient care / service being at their core. Having referred new patients to Dr. Fenton in the past, I would do so again. Appointment availability for him can be challenging as he is booked out however, there are times when appointment slots open up and you can get in sooner. His practice also employs other doctors and counselors if you’re unable to wait for an appointment with him. Being on the go all the time, I really appreciate the text message appointment reminders, I’ve found them helpful for me. Do yourself a favor and schedule an appointment with him.

I have been very disappointed as a new patient of Dr. Fenton I was supposed to get a prescription for an anti-depressant sent to my pharmacy, but they have yet to receive it. My appointment with him was on Tuesday. It is now Friday. I have called his office several times including this morning and was told that they weren’t sure what the problem was, but that they would relay a message to him that the prescription had not been received. As of this afternoon, my pharmacy has yet to receive the prescription and his office is closed. I left a very strong message with his office, and I will be looking for another psychiatrist. I could not in good conscience recommend this doctor to anyone looking for serious help.

The front office staff is rude. Arrived for my appointment and they have the glass drawn with a note that we not bother them. When they decide to address you, they’re condescending. Their attitude is a consistent experience, I do not recommend.

Absolutely the worst service I have ever received in search of medical care. Staff was extremely unprofessional and appeared incapable of completing basic tasks such as consulting with IT regarding basic technical issues. After one staff member Patrick TRIED to give up on me he decided to WITHOUT CONSULTATION move my appointment from 9:30AM to 2:30PM He had attempted to reschedule my appointment for a week later, full well knowing I would not have this technical issue ON THE DOCTORS END resolved. He essentially said I was on my own and never called back. Because as you know patients are just walking $$ and their time isn't important in the slightest. I would never recommend this establishment or doctor even though I never met them, as their is a clear reflection of work place behavior in the staff.

Best psychiatrist I have seen in a long time. He was truly concerned about my concerns and didn't make me feel guilty about the meds I was on like others doctors have belittled me. Patrick and everyone in the office makes you feel welcomed which leaves a positive impact on you. I currently see Krystal for follow up appointments and she is just a blessing from God. I love that she's stays in collaboration with my other doctors to ensure everyone is on the same page. If your in need of any type of psychiatric help I promise you. You will not regret put your care into the hands of these professionals. -JR
