Having been helpfully medicated by a prior psychiatrist for anxiety and depression, circumstances dictated that I switch. Dr. Toups is great. We continued the prior regimen, but I was having trouble getting on with my work. I described what was going on, and Dr. Toups recognized clear symptoms of ADHD. Treatment of that disorder strikingly improved my work efforts. She's always available for impromptu communication. Just recently she was very helpful with a minor crisis. Her probes into my life also lead to non-medicinal advice that allay symptoms. I've recommended Dr. Toups to others.
I've been seeing Dr. Toups off and on for over 10 years. She is very supportive, insightful, and very kind. She listens and I feel comfortable asking questions. I highly recommend Dr. Toups
This lady doubted my ptsd diagnosis and my adhd diagnosis. Questioned why I’m back in college after having such hard issues with school in the past…. Because I want to push myself and actually have a good career. I value education. She said that people who have that many issues like I do have either brain injuries or fetal alcohol syndrome.
