I've been a patient at DPS for almost 6 years, and I couldn't be happier! I've struggled with ADHD my entire life, and Victoria is the first provider that actually listened and cared enough to truly help me. Her passion for her field and patients is so encouraging! I get so much enjoyment from watching how excited she gets when she's telling me about the latest research & how hopeful she is for better treatments. She listens without judgement and never hesitates to tell me hard truths. "You'll ALWAYS have ADHD. The goal is to learn how to manage it." And that's exactly what I've done! Victoria, if you read this: I still haven't lost my driver's license!!! 🙌🏻 It's those seemingly small wins that make this chaotic life manageable, and I couldn't have done it without you!

I am so glad I found DPS! I had never sought psychiatric treatment before so I was unsure what to expect--and a little nervous. The staff made it incredibly comforting and easy to navigate. I've been a patient there for a year now and their professionalism and care for their patients is still top-notch. Victoria is easily among the best providers I have ever worked with. Her genuine concern for her patients' progress is refreshing and should be a model for other healthcare providers. DPS has truly made a positive impact on my life!

★★★★★ An Irreplaceable Asset with Jordan at the Helm Finding the right psychiatric care can feel like a daunting and overwhelming process. From my first phone call to Downtown Psychiatric, that anxiety was immediately alleviated, and that is thanks almost entirely to one person: Jordan, the Patient Coordinator. To call Jordan an "asset" to this practice is a profound understatement. She is the warm, welcoming, and incredibly capable heart of the entire operation. From navigating complex insurance questions to finding an appointment that works for a hectic schedule, Jordan handles it all with unparalleled patience and expertise. What truly sets her apart, however, is her genuine care. She doesn't just see you as another name on a list. She listens, she remembers, and she consistently goes above and beyond to be of service. You can hear the empathy in her voice, and it’s clear that her primary goal is to ensure every patient feels heard, supported, and comfortable from the very start. She is a calming presence in what can often be a stressful journey. The doctors at Downtown Psychiatric are excellent especially, My psychiatrist "Victoria Carroll" which i've seen for the last fifteen years, and i've never had a better psychiatrist in my life. Although, it is Jordan the patient coordinator that creates the foundation of trust and compassion that makes this practice so special. She is, without a doubt, an irreplaceable asset to the company. Any practice would be lucky to have a Jordan, but Downtown Psychiatric has the original, and for that, I am immensely grateful.

I had a truly horrible experience at Downtown Psycharity Center, and I called multiple times to attend to speak with someone on the matter, but I was never able to get in touch with the office manager. I cannot speak for the other providers, but I DO NOT recommend Amanda Eaves. She is all over the place and completely unprofessional. In one appointment, she brought her child to the appointment and held the child in her arms during the entire appointment, paying more attention to her own child than to the patients she who's medication she was managing. On a separate instance, she logged onto our virtual appointment while DRIVING. I had to tell her that I was uncomfortable with our appointment continuing with your driving before she was willing to pull off to the side of the road. I believe her behavior is so unprofessional it is dangerous and makes it impossible to conduct psychiatry appointments with her.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Several months ago, I left a pretty negative review after a difficult experience at Downtown Psychiatric Services. At that time, I was in a very emotional space and unfortunately took that frustration out in the form of a harsh public critique. In particular, my experience with Jordan at the front desk and Amanda, the owner of the clinic, had some tension—and I wasn’t as kind or fair as I could have been. Since then, things have shifted in a really meaningful way. I’ve had a chance to reflect, grow, and—most importantly—re-engage with this clinic in a much healthier space. And I want to take this opportunity to publicly acknowledge how things have changed for the better. Jordan has been an absolute light. Her helpfulness, warm spirit, and compassion have truly made a difference in my experience. Even after our rocky start, she’s shown professionalism and care that helped me feel seen and respected as a client. That speaks volumes about her character, and I deeply appreciate it. Amanda, as the owner, sets the tone for the entire clinic, and I respect the way she leads and shows up for her patients. It’s not always easy to manage the many moving parts of mental health care, but Amanda has shown a clear commitment to making sure things run with both structure and heart. And then there’s Victoria—my psychiatrist since 2020. Words can’t fully express what she’s meant to me. She’s not only provided exceptional care—she’s literally helped keep me alive. Her clinical insight, her attentiveness, and her genuine concern for my well-being have played a major role in my healing journey. She is, without question, one of the best providers I’ve ever had. What I’ve learned through this process is that it’s easy to talk about the bad—but it’s even more powerful to talk about restoration, healing, and change. This clinic allowed space for all of that, and I’m grateful. If you’re considering Downtown Psychiatric Services, know this: they are human, yes—but also incredibly willing to grow, to help, and to meet you wherever you are in your journey. That’s rare. And that matters.

I've known the ladies at DPS for years. They are genuinely kind and have a heart for their patients. I've never had any issues. They answer my emails quickly. My refills are at the pharmacy when I'm ready to pick them up. DPS works very hard to make sure patients are taken care of. For every 1 negative review, there are literally hundreds of clients who return week after week, putting their trust in DPS and I think that is a more accurate testimony of the care provided. People can have negative experiences somewhere for a number of reasons and they are so quick to leave a negative review, conveniently leaving out critical information in an effort to justify their review. People get mad for not passing a drug screen and being refused medications as a result. People get mad at how much they have to pay for an appointment. If you don't like the amount you pay, change insurance plans. The practice doesn't get to determine that, your insurance plan does. People get mad about no-show fees.... then show up to your appointment or cancel it the day before. It's not rocket science. People get mad because their disability is denied. These ladies have no control over whether or not the government approves your disability. Enough with the entitlement. If you are genuinely looking to improve your life and you are genuinely willing to invest in yourself, these ladies will help you. But they can only invest as much into you as you are willing to invest in yourself.

We LOVE Downtown Psychiatric Services! Highly recommend Amanda Yount. She listens to our needs and provides the highest quality of care. The office staff is amazing, always kind and answers any questions I may have, as well as being incredibly helpful with insurance and things of that nature. 10 out of 10!

I went there because their website was exactly what I was looking for. A place that was holistic and professed to care about their patients. But I when I went there it seemed very cold and clinical. I went there 3 times and did not get to meet the Dr in person. And then I did not want to take the pee test and rescheduled to take a couple of weeks later since I was going out of town and could not take it till then. A few days later there was a termination letter in my mail. They never even had a chance to get to know me. I don’t feel that the dr even tried to get to know me. I was very disappointed in the clinic.

I found Downtown Psychiatric Services by reading some reviews online and decided to give them a shot. If there's one thing I know, it's that you have to be very careful with low reviews in mental health. At this point, I'm a year in and I can confidently say...Y'all pay no attention to any review that says these ladies are not wonderful. They are kind and genuinely care about their patients. The price you pay for services here isn't even up to them. Everyone's insurance charges a different contracted rate. Even I know that. The staff have always been so sweet to me. I've never had a problem getting my refills. I usually have to wait 24 hours, but I'm fine with that. If you are good to others, they will be good to you. You can't go in somewhere throwing a tantrum and expect to get your way. I've seen people do it. It's crazy. I recommend DPS to everyone.
