This was my first experience of hypnotherapy and working with Alison has been eye-opening. The pre-session consultation helped me to reflect on my current issue and what I needed out of the session. It made me feel that Alison was very prepared when we began the hypnotherapy. Alison explained clearly what was going to happen and a little about how it works (the science bit). I felt very involved and that it was a collaborative process. During the session, I felt nicely relaxed yet focused on the things I wanted to achieve (in this case, moving forward from a period of ‘stuckness’ and procrastination at work). The imagery used in the session was really useful and the techniques that Alison gave me to work on in my own time have helped me to remove obstacles and move forward with clarity. Alison has a calming, supportive manner and is very knowledgeable and passionate about hypnotherapy – how it works and why it is beneficial. I would highly recommend Alison.
