Contact point is a great place to go with many different things to do from art, mindfulness, games night, karaoke night, a walking group where you stop for coffee and a music group. You don't have to join in you can enjoy very comfortable seats or sit at a big dinning table play cards or chatt. There are different toilets for men and women to respect different health issues. I used to only go twice a week until my anxiety got so bad I couldn't be at home with my thoughts so i started going on more often. It's a great distraction with a very diverse group of service users and there's a Tuck shop with snacks and tea and coffee facilities. There's two larger rooms, all with seating and a pool table, so there's plenty to keep you occupied when you need to take your mind of stuff... There open until 8pm 2 nights a week and open on a Sunday. If your struggling with your mental health I'd strongly recommend this group its helped me loads and I've made some good friends here. I think there is a great team at the moments with staff of various ages and genders and some have lived experience to draw from if you need a bit of support, they are very helpful, whilst maintaining professionalism. Can speak highly enough, incase you hadn't noticed !
The staff at contact point are very good and helpful don't know where your other reviewers went but they sertenly did not go there
Staff dont care about the users. They do not acknowledge users who visit. On a sunday staff just sit around playing cards. Arent these people trained to help users?
All cliquey little groups. Staff turn a blind eye to bullying. Not welcoming or friendly at all.
