Five stars are not enough for something so genuinely transformative. Helen's wisdom and empathy, combined with the human principles of ACT, felt like a hand reaching out through the mist of midlife to show a path. The follow up posts are valuable refreshers of just how life changing this process has been for me. Cannot recommend enough!
I have been seeing my psychological therapist Kerry on and off, for nearly 10 years. Her warm nature, expert care and advice has guided me from a socially anxious, OCD driven teen to a much more confident adult with tools to help when anxiety rears its ugly head. Kerry was a vital support when I needed extra help during a physical health crisis and took everything in her stride, listening and learning the complexity of my situation and giving guidance to help me get through a traumatic experience. I will be keeping Kerry on my books for as long as she is practicing!
Everyday ACT for women is a huge support and benefit to me as I navigate through menopause and the strains in mid life. As a group we all support one another with Helen as an our ACT therapist providing constant guidance and teaching.
Helen is a wonderful human. I find her support insightful and spot on for me (a person going through perimenopause and other life changes). Compassionate and relatable on a simple human level. Her work makes me feel less alone. Highly recommend. Thank you Helen.
I have worked with Kerry Turton at CBT Plus periodically over the last 8 years as she has helped me successfully navigate through some of the mental health challenges I have experienced. Kerry has been both supportive but, equally, ensured that we dealt with the core issues I was facing - as challenging as this could be at times. The approach was always practical and goal oriented whilst being empathetic throughout. I would strongly recommend Kerry to anyone going through similar experiences.
Kerry has been a significant source of support over the years. Her guidance has been an essential role in helping me manage my health anxiety through thoughtful, evidence based techniques. The coping strategies she has shared with me are meaningful part of my daily life.
Kerry is a wonderful therapist. Caring, compassionate and easy to talk to but also not afraid to challenge and encourage self reflection. By following Kerry's approach over the course of 6 months there was an immeasurable improvement in my mental health and I am very grateful for her help and support. I would not hesitate to recommend her services.
I have been seeing Kerry for a number of years, and truly commend her. She uses the perfect balance of listening, challenging and, supporting. I feel she genuinely cares for my mental health and ongoing wellbeing, and I don't hesitate to contact her if I feel I need some sessions. I would highly recommend her to anyone!
Helen ruined my life by suggesting anti-depressants to make me open up more in therapy and offering to contact my GP to try prescribe these drugs. She also recommended these drugs to my parent who used them on me. This is deeply unacceptable behaviour on Helen’s part. It is never place to recommend drugs under any circumstances whatsoever. I don’t why she had a such a deep desire to medicate me and intrusively contact my GP. Truly awful. I feel violated to this day.
I worked with Gavin over recent months for support with long-term, low-level anxiety folowing a decision to come off medication after many years. Their approach, combining CBT, ACT, and mindfulness, was both professional and highly supportive. I found the sessions genuinely helpful, practical, balanced, and insightful. I’d highly recommend the team to anyone looking for thoughtful and effective therapy from a professional who really listens and understands.
