The most knowledgeable and friendliest physio I’ve ever had! Straight forward and honest. Michael couldn’t have been any better. Couldn’t reccomend him more.
Absolute legend - Mike was able to identify the issue and get it resolved, explaining things clearly and concisely and providing useful tools to make it easier to remember and do exercises at home. An issue that had been progressively getting worse and worse over the previous few months and a long standing issue I've had for years are both so so much better. Definitely recommend seeing Mike! :)
I have seen many physios across 3 countries over the years, and I can honestly say Atlas Physiotherapy is top notch. I returned to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competition after 14 years break and even though the competition went well I injured my knee in the last match. I have seen couple physios and even though the injury did not seem to be a big issue, I was in pain for months unable to return to sport. Mike from Atlas Physiotherapy assessed my knee and the rehab I was doing until then. He added one essential exercise that was missing from my previous rehab modified the others and within few weeks pain in my MCL reduced enough for me to return to training. I cannot recommend Atlas Physiotherapy highly enough.
I first visited Atlas Physiotherapy several years ago now and from the first day I’ve enjoyed some of the highest quality, friendliest and most professional service that I’ve ever experienced. I Wrestle at the international level for Scotland and at one point in my mid twenties I thought my competitive career had came to a premature end due to slipped discs in my lower spine. I was unable to walk without pain and the ability to bend down and tie my shoes was a distant memory. However, thanks to the patience and treatment I received from Mike I am now back doing the sport that I love and will even be participating in the European Backhold Wrestling championships next month. If you’re looking for a knowledgeable and welcoming physiotherapist who knows how to adapt your treatment/training to suit your life then I cannot recommend Atlas Physiotherapy highly enough. I also work as a Personal trainer and I happily send all of my clients who pick up injuries to Mike - from older adults to young men/women. I know that whatever issue they have, they’ll be in good hands with Mike.
I have had 2 appointments with Mike. Very impressed by his knowledge and his ability to explain my different problems in terminology I could understand. The exercises & stretch’s are definitely making a difference… I have taken painkillers to get to sleep for so long now , it is amazing to fall asleep without them! Highly recommend him.
Mike treated my 13 year old son for a bad back. The way he dealt with him was admirable. He was calm, informative, and extremely professional. He explained everything he was doing and put myself and my son at ease. The end result was my sons issue was completely resolved in a very short time. A very highly recommended physio. I would not hesitate to use him again.
Can’t recommend Mike enough! Visited due to some back pain. Mike talked me through the potential problems and various treatments consisting mostly of various stretches. Mike took the time to explain both the issue and all the stretches ensuring i was comfortable with them all. Mike was available to answer questions via email if I had difficulties. Mike also helped with gym exercises to make sure I recover and can improve strength and fitness. Exercises/treatments now given via a new webpage with helpful demonstration videos! Have been going back to Mike since and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.
After a very poor experience with another physiotherapist I was lucky enough to encounter Mike. From the outset Mike was informative, he assessed me in person and discussed the possible causes of my pain. Right from the beginning he said he suspected my issue may be due to a cartilage tear of my hip, however I was happy to progress down the route of physiotherapy first to see what improvement I could get. During every session Mike was always very professional, incredibly conscientious and always took the time to answer my questions of which I had many. He was incredibly patient and also very honest. After a few months of therapy it was decided that the physio was not improving my condition. He referred me to our original conversation and suggested I be referred to an orthopaedic surgeon as he felt a scan at this point was important. And he was right. A confirmed cartilage tear and surgery referral later I’m so grateful I had Mike as a physio. He did not waste my time or his and worked hard to do the right thing. He was right on the money. I would 100% recommend him!!! One further thing I’d like to comment on is that initially I felt quite nervous seeing a male physiotherapist, especially when my injury was in the groin region, I only ever felt completely comfortable with Mike, he put me at ease with his professional and kind nature, something which was incredibly important to me
I had a remote zoom session with Mike. There were no limitations having the session remotely and would highly recommend. My session focused on injury prevention for an upcoming event. Before providing a comprehensive schedule to incorporate into my training, Mike explained why I should be doing each exercise rather than "just do it". He went through each exercise in detail and explained them in a language I could understand. Highly recommend and thank you Mike!
I initially went to Mike regarding issues with my knee related to running. Mike carried out a thorough assessment and was able to advise on some simple exercises which have entirely sorted the issue. Mike explained everything throughout and was highly professional! I’ve since returned with a neck problem and again Mike’s service was second to none and addressed the problem swiftly. Would recommend to anyone. Cheers, Mike!
