Carrie is every bit of amazing! She thoroughly walked me through the process and effectively communicated with the defendant and I. She’s highly recommended! Thank you so much, Carrie!! A long 10 year process is finally over and I’m forever grateful!!

I had court and I am the victim and the plaintiff. A women against abuse lady came to court to speak to my abuser and didn’t speak to me so I thought that was kind of odd. On top of that, the judge dismissed my case and I had overwhelming evidence which I am appealing and having Harrisburg investigate this. Also, I agree with the other reviews. My abuser called Women against abuse first and covered herself with all kind of lies so I couldn’t get any help when I called. They said it was a conflict of interest. This is sad and ridiculous that anyone can do this and that’s why the victims always end up badly harmed or even killed. Shame on you Women against abuse!

They didn’t want to help me, because my abuser call them first and was dishonest with them. He made sure that I couldn’t get help from them and he did exactly what he set out to do. It’s a shame that a person can do this so that they can cover their own abuse towards others. I got the help that I needed for other organizations me and my family are safe, but not because of women against abuse sadly..

I am ever so Thankful they lead me to a successful outcome. I had procrastinated and the abuse got worse. I now have a 3 year PFA and has gained self esteem within 1 week and I now have the resources to gain my Power back.

Very unprofessional and does not follow company core values. The entire company lacks management. Roach infestation in the kitchens and sleeping quarters. I felt sorry for the residents. They will suspend and discipline staff who report abuse at their unmanaged shelters for women. Pray for this place and the women and children who entrust in them as a safe-haven

As a former client I just want to say THANK YOU! I would highly recommend this organization to anyone experience abuse who needs help. My daughter and I were in a situation where we had to flee and needed emergency shelter. Full transparency: I learned that every case is different and that there’s a lot of people who need emergency help all at the same time. So for me it wasn’t a quick phone call and I was granted space. I was determined to get help so I called every single day while utilizing other resources until I was given to a room. From the moment I walked through the doors I was given love and support from the organization. Even at my lowest I still felt a sense of comfort because I knew we were finally safe. Everything that the program offered I utilized, because of that I was able to rebuild a new life for my daughter and I. Not everything was given or handed to me which I think was important component throughout my process. I was given support and guidance to help me navigate and heal through my experiences. It set me up to be more confident, independent and I now possess the knowledge and tools that I need in order to live a life free from abuse. I am forever in debt to this amazing organization who saved my life.

I very depressed and stressed over a situation where I don’t know how to handle. So my friend advise me to call Women against abused because they can help me. Which I decided to call today and Wendy pick up and help me. Usually I’m afraid to cal because i dont know what to ask or say but she really explain each step of what I should do next in the process of my situation. Thank you Wendy for helping me. I feel so much better now because I was so clueless and thought I was going to give up.

That is not my story because when i needed these people they havent done ANYTHING to help me . With GOD i have been able to push past a bunch of mess. The abuser lied and put a restraining order on me and with all the calling them showing up in this office and NEVER getting help from this organization i find them to be a joke they help who they want to help. I have been tryinhg to get emotional mental and financial abuse on the record as a law because before they put their hands on you it begins with emotional and mental abuse. How can we change what we wont confront. We can do more as a group but it starts with opening your mouth and speaking out about it with no shame.
