I had a really good run with Springfield over the past decade. My first doctor overmedicated me, and then my second doctor just left me twisting in the breeze for almost a year. Those prescriptions kept refilling, though! These people are either taking on too many patients or just have poor staffing. Don’t bother.
Absolutely insane I’ve called everyday since sept 31st just to get my medical records to never get a call back i went into there office oct 25th and was told they a push it through and now i have to go back to the office because no one has contacted me the bs i go through for no reason i swear
Took them over a WEEK to return my phone call requesting an appointment, just for them to call me and say they have no appointments available. Very bad business practice.
Springfield has good therapists but an abominable business office phone that is not answered so you must leave a message and wait for a call back. . They have just switched to Athena Health and the setup situation is deeply flawed. They send out requests for information that are not user friendly to fill out. They have therapists who were obviously poorly trained on Athena and have resorted to asking questions of patients. I would NOT recommend them unless you are ready for aggravation and misinformation.
I filed a complaint with my insurance carrier. SPRINGFIELD PSYCHOLOGICAL does not provide a statement of coverage/billing break down. Statement only says what you owe, I asked for a full statement multiple times and they do not provide. I looked at my insurance statements and see SPRINGFIELD PSYCHOLOGICAL is submitting different amounts nearly every time for the same service. One visits is $200 and then a few months later jumps to $529. I have called and left messages, and no one gets back to you. I was able to back door email addresses to a few managers; however, no response. The psychiatrist assigned was terrible, we changed psychiatrist and then 3 weeks later an admin called me to tell me that doctor does not see children...I am assuming we still have the appointment because no one has called me back as I was told they would. Their patient portal is s joke and there is no way to communicate electronically. They want you to leave a voice mail. I suspect this is because they don't want a paper trail. SPRINGFIELD PSYCHOLOGICAL is owned by United Healthcare of New England. I located the former president of SPRINGFIELD PSYCHOLOGICAL in effort to escalate and they returned my call to advise they left 3 yrs ago because of the same issues I am experiencing. I genuinely have a gut feeling this company is committing fraud. I filed a complaint with the insurance and will file a complaint with BBB and any other governing agency.
I was referred to this clinic by my therapist for my daughter. When calling you’re asked to leave a message and someone will return your phone call within 24 hrs. Well that was 2 1/2 weeks ago. After calling several times and leaving 3/4 messages, I received a call from the clinic, but they hung. This happened repeatedly. On 3/28/2023 (today) the practice called my phone twice back to back (guess to say that they returned the call) Finally I get the rudest lady on the phone, not only does she raise her voice, she hangs up on me. One of the most unprofessional people I have eve come across within a health care facility. Needless to say, I still wasn’t offered an appointment and. I wouldn’t feel comfortable bringing my daughter here just from my telephone experience. It’s a very very sad world that we live in when you can’t even receive a good customer service experience from a health care facility. Since these calls are recorded I would love for her manager/supervisor to revisit our conversation and let me know if how I was addressed are apart of their “CORE VALUES “
Springfield has reasonable, industry standard practices regarding scheduling, payment, insurance, etc. In many ways, Springfield’s downtown PHL location is what other practices should aspire to be. It’s very helpful to have a psychiatrist working at the practice to keep everything “under one roof.” The receptionist is professional, helpful, and prompt with appointment scheduling and rescheduling. Therapists offer in-person and virtual appointments. I’ve found my time with Springfield to be helpful, rewarding, and I highly recommend it.
This place is so far a nightmare. I needed to see therapy bc I am overworked, overstressed, depressed and anxious and poor. But you can only reschedule an appointment within a 48 hour window, which is A LOT of time for something to go wrong with someone who needs mental help or is constantly busy. So what can you do if you miss the appointment? You pay $120 out of pocket, that's what. They'll make sure you remember, too. When I missed a psych appointment and got it fixed for the next day, she barely finished a regular introduction before telling me I'd be billed for the missed appointment with a dead expression. I constantly feel even more stressed and anxious about these appointments because not only are so many of the people here u personable (other than my therapist Lois who's great), you'll Always feel like you're there more to be shaken down by them for your money then to be happily helped by a team of professionals. I'm here because I don't have the energy to keep looking around. But if you have time, try somewhere else first.
The best place. They are understanding, responsive, and the therapist catered his style to my needs. Bill mathis and dr. Patel and the best
I had an absolutely amazing experience with the staff at Springfield Psychological. I was really struggling and Springfield set me up with an amazing trained professional Robert McKenney. The schedules are flexible and will work with you to make it feasible to meet and talk whenever you need. Can’t recommend this office enough!
