Kenzi Lopez is one of the most thoughtful and kind humans on the planet. She passion for both the LGBTQIA community and the POC community shines through in everything she does. Kenzi is very easy to talk to and very personable. A non-judgmental ear, Kenzi is a great therapist and I am lucky to have them!

I wish I could say I had a better experience working with Spilove, but my experience with this company did not feel client-centered to me at all and more focused on how much money they can get out of people. My therapist, who I'll just call J, was very sweet and kind and I trusted her. In our first session, she said that we would also be integrating ketamine therapy. The more I researched ketamine therapy the more I was interested. By about our third session, I was feeling that where we were heading was kind of vague and not involving a lot of EDMR, so I asked about the ketamine. Suddenly, she seemed hesitant about it, but she gave me a number to call to set up a consultation. I asked about what the price range was, but J was evasive. Also, in this conversation I found out that J had been doing EDMR for only 8 months. After filling out a dozen release forms, I had a consultation with the intake specialist, who I'll call B. B was also very evasive when I asked about the total price. The numbers she presented were $250 for the evaluation and then $80 for the medication. She never mentioned any additional fees and the price seemed right to me, if a little too good to be true. Later I get an email that throws in additional fees of hundreds of dollars. I was confused, so I spoke to J, who referred me to yet another consultant who was...you guessed it, evasive as to how much the total cost of the ketamine therapy was. Finally I dragged it out of her, $350 for the eval and meds and then $550 for a session. I was heartbroken and furious and felt manipulated. I hung up the phone and then called her back and vented on her before hanging up. I then emailed J and told her I would not be returning to therapy--I simply can't give my money and energy to a company that has a predatory, ponzi scheme-ish attitude towards it's clients. I have complex PTSD and the whole reason I came to this place was to deal with severe social anxiety around being exploited. From the very first phone consultation, I let these people know that I was on a budget. The insensitivity is breathtaking. Now I have to cancel my credit card--which they need to have on file--because I don't trust this company.

I have had such a peaceful, positive experience with this practice. From the initial consultation to now, several months in to weekly therapy, I have felt seen and heard by people who are prepared to handle my trauma and other issues. Their student intern program has made this care accessible to me financially, and the student intern, Karen, whom I work with has been fantastic - professional, kind, and knowledgeable - and has truly helped me build on the work I've done with past therapists over the last decade. This review was not solicited in any way whatsoever; I am genuinely deeply thankful for the excellent care I've received here. If you're thinking of reaching out for a consultation - do it!

Gwenn is a skilled therapist, who makes it clear how deeply invested she is in your work together. Curious and warm, she seeks to walk *with* you as you uncover what you need to heal. Through insight, creativity, and thoughtful pacing, she makes you feel seen and like something better is possible, whatever you're facing.

★★★★★★★★★★Katie WebbDec 2021

Gwenn is warm and easy to open up to. When speaking to her about problems, she is quick to recall past threads of conversation or call attention to recurring themes. In this way, she supports you in co-creating a deeper self-understanding. Her ability to hold different piece of information about past events and emotions lets you know that she is actively listening, excited to apply her lived experience, past client experience, and theory knowledge to the goals you’re working on. It is easy to feel therapeutically connected to Gwenn because she is so present, and has such a curious mind.

This practice is awesome. They have several locations including a really convenient spot in center city. I’ve worked with Melanie Taylor- she has a lot of experience in treating eating disorders among other things, she can incorporate yoga practices into her treatment plan if you like, and she’s overall a really compassionate person/therapist. I’d highly recommend requesting her :)
