After a pretty traumatic experience in my life I decided that I needed to talk to someone. Having no experience with therapy I tried an online resource, and had a really bad experience. So I decided to check with my HCP and they gave me a list with this place and I gave them a call. They did eventually get back to me about a week later and had me fill out some financial forms. After another week I reached back out since I hadn't heard back and finally one of their Drs called me to do an initial intake. At the end of the intake she mentioned that it would be a zoom call and I mentioned I had a bad experience recently with online therapy recently. She got super upset, started telling me where she got her degree and how many years she had been practicing, etc. and was clearly offended. Said that she wanted me to see someone in person and that the office would call me back immediately. They never did. I realize that therapists are people too, but I feel like there should be a level of care put into the interaction with people who might really need some help across the staff. I wouldn't classify my situation as dire, but I would be horrified to learn that someone who may really need serious help was treated the same way I was. Not a big fan of negative reviews as they're subjective at best, but I would strongly caution anybody considering this place for any kind of substantive, empathetic or timely mental help.

I started therapy with PPS a few months ago because they took my insurance and my deductible was supposed to be $0. About two weeks ago, I got a surprise phone call from PPS saying that there was some mistake, and that my deductible was actually $109 per session. I ended up having to pay $327 out of pocket for three 60 minute sessions. I'm not sure how the mix-up occurred (it might have been my insurance company's fault), but the sessions were definitely not worth $109.
