I strongly recommend MTM to anyone looking to return to sports after an injury. I’ve been running marathons for the past 15 years and doing CrossFit/Hyrox for the last five, but I was diagnosed with a meniscus tear in my right knee earlier this year. Over the past three months, I worked with Corey at MTM, and the experience has been outstanding. He created weekly plans that progressively evolved based on my recovery and performance. We met once a week, and I followed additional gym sessions focused on strengthening my lower body and core while gradually increasing the mileage and speed of my runs. Today, I feel much more confident returning to my sports activities. My pain is significantly more manageable, and I now have a clear understanding of how to continue progressing safely. Even after completing my program, Corey provided me with long-term guidance on what to focus on — and what to avoid — moving forward. I’m very grateful for the support, expertise, and personalized approach from the MTM team.
This place is exactly what I was in the market for. Equal parts physical therapy and personal training. Pretty safe to assume my lack of knowledge before taking a few sessions with Ian is what landed me in physical therapy in the first place lol. I highly recommend this spot not only if you need help diagnosing a bum knee, but also if you could use a little guidance and encouragement in your fitness journey. Everyone is super nice and knowledgeable. As previously mentioned, I worked with Ian. He provided me with super helpful in person training as well as a comprehensive at home workout routine. The routine was set up through the more than movement app that had instructional videos, and just generally helped me stay accountable. I highly recommend this place!
I can’t say enough good things about Corey and the team at More Than Movement. As a regular runner, I developed a stress injury in my ankle and spent a little over a month in a boot. After finishing physical therapy at home, I was able to walk again, but jumping, jogging, and running were still painful. Corey put together a combination of in-person sessions and at-home workouts that steadily strengthened my ankle and significantly improved my running ability. He adjusted the exercises as needed to keep me progressing and was great at explaining the biomechanics behind each movement. My ankle feels so much better now, and I’m back to running consistently. I’m really grateful for the support and would highly recommend Corey to anyone looking to recover, get stronger, and move better.
I just want to say my journey has been long four low back surgeries and cervical fusion in my neck. I had done PT before, but when I stopped of course pain and weakness was back. My son who is now a PT, but is a traveling therapist recommended I go to More Than Movement and see Nick. I live in South Jersey so I was really not wanting to travel over the bridge to Philly!!! I’m so glad I did, I have been suffering with nerve damage and severe pain in my left ankle along with a partially numb foot. Working with Nick was a whole different experience on PT! The one on one and gradual buildup on strength training was key, I needed to get stronger. I can’t THANK Nick enough for pushing me (in a good way)and showing me what I was capable of doing! My ankle feels so much better and I’m stronger all around. I will always highly recommend More Than Movement!
I worked with Corey Richards as a first time PT experience and am shocked how much improvement I made over the few months we worked together. I came to Corey with hip pain occurring for several days after running in preparation for the Philadelphia Half Marathon. I am new to running, but Corey quickly developed a training plan based on his assessment of my hip pain, and he guided me through new movement patterns in all our 1-1 sessions together. We worked through a variety of exercises, and Corey’s feedback always was easy to implement in real time. When necessary, Corey tailored the programming to my symptoms, and I often saw improvement in just a couple weeks after implementing adjustments. After a couple months working together, I accomplished my goal of running the Philly Half (my first race ever), pain free. I now get to work with Corey on a wide range of movements for leg strength and mobility as I continue running, lifting and snowboarding. I have never felt better physically and been more fit with the help of Corey’s expert PT service.
After 7+ months of constant back and hip pain following a car accident, a friend recommended Nick at MTM. Nick met with me to understand my challenges and gauge where I was at physically. He suggested a weekly 1:1 program for 12 weeks. I can’t say enough great things about the MTM team and the gym itself. The staff is all very personable and the program focuses on overall fitness, not just isolated issues. The small gym is spotless with new equipment. The environment is friendly and supportive. After finishing the program, my pain doesn’t impact my life in any way, I’m back in the regular gym, and in better shape + lifting heavier than I have in years. It’s worth the $ to get your life back.
I had an incredible experience at MTM, thanks in large part to Malti. After an orthopedist incorrectly diagnosed my shoulder issue as a labrum tear, Malti immediately recognized that it was actually frozen shoulder—and she was absolutely right. That correct diagnosis made all the difference in my recovery. Malti is exceptionally knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely invested in her patients. She carefully tracked and plotted my range of motion over time and seemed just as excited about my progress as I was, which was both motivating and reassuring. It was clear she truly understood the condition and the recovery process at a deep level. MTM is a fantastic practice with highly qualified physical therapists, and Malti exemplifies the best of what they offer. I can’t recommend her—or MTM—highly enough.
I cannot speak highly enough of Nick and the team at More than Movement. I've been in physical therapy for over 10 years due to 6 different knee surgeries. During this time, I've worked with at least 8 different physical therapy providers, and nothing has come remotely close to the quality of care that the More Than Movement team provides. When I came to Nick, I was struggling with my recovery and was dealing with significant back and knee pain from my physical therapy. After 6 months of working with Nick, I'm pain-free, my knee and back feel incredible, and I'm starting the process of running again for the first time in 8 years. I genuinely had given up on the chance of having my health back and now I'm in the best shape that I've been in in over 10 years. The team has an awesome culture and system. Nick gives true 1:1 attention during workouts, giving feedback on form and proactively updating workouts based upon progress and where I needed to improve. Beyond the in-clinic work, the team has a great app and platform where they build your at-home workouts, complete with their own how-to videos for form, and help you schedule and keep up with the work necessary to really improve. Whenever I have questions, I can send them a message and they're quick to get back to me and to make any updates that I need. I've been to many other providers and I've never seen anything like this. It speaks to how much they know and how seriously they take the health and progress of their patients. I'm not a big review-giver, but More than Movement is more than deserving of the praise. Their approach and care is something that I looked for for almost 10 years and I cannot recommend them highly enough
I went to More Than Movement with chronic shoulder pain that was disrupting my life and sleep. As an active person and a weightlifter, I wanted a PT who would meet me where I was at and integrate their suggestions with my existing weight training. Nick delivered big time. He took me back to basics in my training and built me back up. He worked with my strength coach to add new movements to my regular workouts and adjust my program according to my needs. I’m happy to report that my shoulder pain is gone and the muscles are stronger than they’ve ever been. I can’t recommend Nick and his team enough if you’re serious about rebuilding your body and getting back to doing the active things you love.
Working with Corey at More Than Movement was one of the best investments I've made as a long distance runner/endurance athlete. Before coming to MTM, I had struggled for months with foot pain while training for a marathon. After my race, I discovered I had plantar fasciitis, a stress fracture and tendonitis. I was devastated at the prospect of being sidelined for weeks in a boot. Luckily, Corey approached things differently, coming up with an adaptable plan that kept me active while promoting recovery. When challenges would arise, Corey was responsive, kind and empathetic. Within 4 months, I was back to racing and setting massive PRs in the 5K and half marathon. Now, my training has been transformed for the better, and I'm having more fun chasing my goals than ever before. I cannot recommend Corey and MTM enough!
