I was a long-time client before I moved out of the city, and finding someone who measures up has been a challenge. She is amazing. I started going to her for anxiety about work and I stayed with her because I felt a lot better...then and now. I didn't always know therapy was working for me, but I am mentally more resilient than I have ever been, and I know that is partly because of Marie's guidance. She is personable, meets you where you are, and has a beautiful blend of friendliness and knowledge. I am grateful to have worked with her, and I recommend her.
Freaking ALL-STAR therapist. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found Marie. After 10+ years of cycling through therapists who mis-diagnosed my sub-type of OCD as PTSD/Dissociative disorder, I finally found Marie when I was at my wits end. After emailing nearly a dozen therapists asking for insight to what was going on, she was the only one to answer my email. In just 6 months I was back doing things I had struggled to do or completely avoided) for years. Marie gave me the tools I needed to finally address my OCD using Exposure and Response Prevention therapy. She is personable, empathetic, compassionate, and fun. I would actually spend a lot of the sessions laughing, which was very different from my experience of therapy. I always felt better after our sessions, even if I knew I had hard work to do that week. Marie also showed that she was passionate about treating OCD, by staying current on new and developing research as well as tuning into relevant podcasts and attending conferences. I owe so so many thanks to Marie for educating me and empowering me to face my fears. I'm thrilled to say that OCD doesn't rule my life anymore.
I can’t say enough good things about Marie. She uses the perfect balance of empathy and tough love to help you help yourself and I would highly recommend her to anyone, but especially to those struggling with OCD. I sought help from multiple other therapists before finding her and she’s honestly in a league of her own.
