Mango Tree provides high-quality group and individual counseling to people of Asian descent. Their seminars, webinars, and group sessions are well-researched and highly educational. They will provide background, context, and community for intersectional aspects of the intergenerational Asian diasporic experience in the United States. Highly recommend.
Dr. Ramirez is a wonderful therapist, consultant and collaborator!
It is important to have access to quality mental healthcare that understands the ethnic and cultural dynamics of your journey in the world. Mango Tree is that organization. I'm impressed by their connection to the communities they serve through partnerships with important organizations to the various communities, local and nationally. In addition the free community discussions offered are so unique. These folks work very hard to understand the needs of the AANHPI communities of PA, NJ, etc. and meet those needs.
So thankful this practice addresses challenges faced by the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander community.
The team at Mango Tree Counseling & Consulting are nothing short of amazing. The kindness, compassion and support they provide creates a safe space for all.
Not neurodivergent friendly. Would not recommended to autistic or adhd humans. Alexander had neurotypical expectations of me and did not listen when I said I wasn't able to do something. Advertises themselves as decolonial and disability justice oriented, but the amount of ableism I experienced was so harmful to me, I wish someone would hold them accountable for the amount of harm perpetuated by this practice. I almost ended my life after going to therapy here and would not recommend to anyone who is neurodivergent.
Mango Tree CC is the best! The consultation/discussion I had w/ Dr. Ramirez was so helpful for me to reflect on my own identity and think about how to best serve diverse patients in the future. 10/10 would recommend :)
Mango Tree CC is a wonderful organization and would highly recommend. The staff is extremely caring, professional and responsive. It is so valuable and instrumental to have a mental health agency of AAPI professionals that caters to the AAPI community. Beyond the clinical quality and care that they provide, their free monthly webinars are extremely helpful and engaging. They are intentional about the work they do which shows in the variety of services they provide and the number of topics they cover that directly affect our community. Internally grateful for everything they are doing for the community and myself.
Mango Tree, for me, has been an incredible experience because I have finally been able to see a therapist who can connect to and relate with my cultural background. Noel has really helped me effectively work through familial expectations, societal pressures, and relational trauma that have consciously and unconsciously adopted as part of my Asian and LGBTQ+ identity. I am thankful to have an organization that is dedicated to providing culturally competent mental/behavioral health care to the Asian/Asian American community where these topics are often ignored or stigmatized.
Extremely unprofessional, no one called me for my initial intake, had to follow up in order to find out who my matched therapist was after 2 weeks even though they specifically said they would notify me, and my therapist failed to show up for a session. They are extremely slow and the therapist did not do anything that I could do on my own and was apathetic. I’ve given them multiple chances and they have failed me every time. Would not recommend.
