This was my first time seeking therapy for sleep issues (ever), and unfortunately it was a very negative experience. I had a disappointing experience with my provider, Alexander Patsiornik, and in hindsight I should have taken his prior low reviews more seriously. My sessions consistently felt rushed and inauthentic, and he was approximately 20 minutes late to every appointment, which I found to be unprofessional. I often had to remind him why I was there. He was also unresponsive through the patient portal; when I had a concerning reaction to a medication he prescribed, he did not respond for two days. I only received a reply after escalating the issue to Lifestance, which was extremely frustrating. The only reason I am giving a second star is because he is a pretty smart guy, however, his communication style, delivery of information, and interpersonal skills are poor and often came across as condescending. I also attempted to address my concerns by reaching out to an office manager on two separate occasions. Although I received confirmation that my messages were received, no one ever followed up. This speaks volumes about how this company values patient care. I do not recommend.

Therapy can be a hard thing to bring yourself to do. Sometimes, it can be a not so good experience, making you feel even more withdrawn and alone. Finding the right therapist or psychiatrist can be a crap shoot. Lifestance has been a godsend for me. I was matched with an amazing therapist who helped me beyond words and a psychiatrist that truly listens to me and cares.

Finally after 4 psychologists since my return to my place in Philly that Dec., 2019, I found the help I need with a keeper therapist who understands my issues and reinforces my coping methods with my present issues and a psychiatric nurse practitioner who educates me about my meds and gets the doses I need by listening to me for my anxiety and insomnia after a traumatic decade. I wish I had known about Life Sciences 6 yrs ago when I retired back in my native state and condo in this great walking city of brotherly love! I’m feeling so much better with their professional support!

Logging onto an appointment takes a minimum of 15 minutes in surveys and updating the same information every time. It makes therapy even more exhausting when their practitioners are actually great. It’s a typical corporation and they make it impossible to cancel or change anything about your appointment even when it’s far in advance. They have hefty cancellation fees and zero forgiveness.

I am thrilled to have a doctor that understands my needs and is. supportive. Every appointment, I appreciate her expertise and we problem solve together.

It’s almost a year since I have been working with my psychiatrist and the ease of doing it virtually has been great!! If I have questions in between appointments I also get a response.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. You can tell A LOT about a company by the way they handle cancellations. Lifestance REQUIRES you call them- there is no way to cancel online. They have a lot of first time and/or inexperienced providers. Don’t waste your sanity on these people. This company is awful.

Piper is very kind and professional. She’s helpful and sweet. Don’t rethink asking her for help. Moreover, their appointments are always on time and the therapists are good.

While my practicioner was good, this company has so much of their own legal jargon, that it took me ten to fifteen minutes to get into my appointment and I still never got in. They are so into their legal ease that I think they have gotten too big, too self protective and I’m not sure they really care

I’ve been coming to lifestance health for about 2 or 3 years now. I’ve been seeing my therapist, Jennifer Hammond consistently. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made. She has help me with my struggles by being patient and honest with me, and telling me exactly what I needed to hear in the kindest way possible, which was definitely needed. By seeing her every two weeks she has taught me how to set boundaries and keep myself accountable, which is greatly appreciated. She reminds me that finding peace and healing isn’t a marathon but it’s a journey. I’m very grateful for her to be my therapist.
