If you came here to feel okay, they will make sure to make you feel worse and judged. I am a self advocate and a certified advocate for others with professional degrees in psychology and this place is incredibly DE-HUMANIZING!! Avoid!!
If I could put 0-5 I would. This was the most uncomfortable I have ever been seeking care for my child. Dr was extremely dismissive and made us feel like we were just being given a script and pushed out of the door. He interrupted our visit mid discussion and was gone for almost 10 minutes. When we came in we had medication already prescribed and was doing well with it, while on our first visit the Dr wanted to just about triple the dose and when i stepped in and voiced my concern and why i didn’t understand the need for upping the medication since he was doing well on his current dose, this was his first time ever on meds for his diagnosis and we had just increased two weeks prior he repeatedly interrupted me and dismissed any concern I was trying to share. He also made a statement, “if he goes home and does something to himself I can’t be responsible” which I felt was extremely unnecessary and when I stated i wanted to stay on lower dose he also stated, “ well you could have just stay with his pediatrician for that dose and didn’t need to see me” it all feels like a money scheme and not for the better health of someone seeking care. When we hit our second visit my son was seen by the nurse practitioner who was the complete opposite. She was kind, a great listener and when we voiced concerns and dad (who also has same diagnosis) shared his concern because of previous bad reactions with meds that Dr Botros tried to increase x3 on prior visit, the nurse practitioner just took the time to share her concerns as well and changed the type of medication. This really made us feel more at ease and that she was trying to find an appropriate solution. The front desk staff are extremely rude and made it seem as if you’re causing them extra work for any small question even if a simple reschedule. One time my child had to be taken by other parent and when I called to get clarity on some important questions and the receptionist came off as if I were not within rights to ask the questions about the visit even though I am on his authorized forms and was able to verify any info she asked. The environment is eerie and comes off and almost looks as if you’re in a psych ward. This comment is weeks after my visit because I had decided to give them another chance and wouldn’t you know see others’ experiences verified that my complaints weren’t just a one off situation.
Unprofessional and ineffective. Dismissive. His treatment resulted in the worsening of my condition. When I raised concerns (that later turned out to be warranted), he dismissed them and assigned blame to me. Avoid at all costs. His staff were always fighting with clientele. Edit: filing a formal complaint and encourage others to do the same. This unprofessional conduct and the harm it is causing is completely unacceptable.
This is one of the most unprofessional medical offices I have ever encountered. Patients here are treated like numbers, not human beings. The front desk staff are consistently rude and dismissive, creating a cold, unwelcoming environment from the moment you walk in. Instead of providing support, they make you feel as if you are a burden for seeking care. The physician does the bare minimum, failing to ask appropriate questions or provide thorough, professional care. This lack of effort is unacceptable for someone entrusted with patients’ mental health. The experience is marked by unprofessionalism, disorganization, and negligence. The absence of accountability and basic respect is staggering. I will be filing formal complaints with the Oklahoma Medical Board and the Department of Health and Human Services. Patients deserve care that is compassionate, consistent, and safe — not careless, dismissive, and dehumanizing.
They are great if you don’t mind having to yank an adderall prescription out of them. It took a week to get my prescription last time AFTER an in person visit. I was a zombie for 5 days and then had to readjust to the prescription after I finally got it. This is especially true for refills I have to get between office visits. They have greatly improved their staff, but it doesn’t matter if I can’t get my meds.
Psych ward experience — was professional, direct, and contrary to many reviews very obviously has empathy, compassion, and listens. Is matter-of-fact in style, but I did not feel the same impressions primarily expressed here. his matter of fact demeanor I interpret and reassure myself of sincere honesty doctor, which is a highly valued ting for me. شكرن جرلن
I’ve been seeing Dr. Al-Botros for over a decade and he has been wonderful. From the beginning I felt heard in a way I hadn’t from any other psychiatrist. He has truly made me a collaborator in my psychiatric care. The only reason I’m not giving a full five stars is that at times his office staff leaves something to be desired. Also, they recently set me up on an app with a monthly charge and never mentioned the expense. In fact, I told them I wasn’t interested and they talked me into doing it while never disclosing that it cost anything. That said, when I called the billing office, they were friendly and understanding and reversed the charges without any further hassle on my end.
I’ve been a patient at this office for two years, and the treatment I’ve received — especially in recent months — has been unacceptable and deeply harmful. This practice repeatedly fails to fill psychiatric prescriptions on time, leaving me without necessary medication for days each month. Despite multiple calls, visits, and appointments, I’ve had to personally chase down my Adderall XR prescription every single month. My provider consistently prescribes only 25 capsules, even though appointments are spaced 30 days apart — leaving me short each cycle. Most recently, a supplemental prescription for Adderall IR was discussed, agreed upon, and charted by the provider’s partner, yet was never filled. I was told it had been “cancelled,” despite never having consented to or discussed that cancellation. After five days without medication, I came to the office in person to advocate for myself. I was told the doctor was “too busy” to speak with me. The office manager — who was unprofessional and dismissive — repeatedly called me by the wrong name (three times), despite me correcting her. She refused to allow me to submit a written statement for my medical chart regarding the fact that the office had failed to preserve the certified psychiatric records I personally submitted at the beginning of care. I was later informed that those records — which took weeks to collect — were never saved in my file. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic respect in this office is staggering. I will be filing formal complaints with the Oklahoma Medical Board and the Department of Health and Human Services. Patients deserve care that is consistent, responsive, and safe — not disorganized, negligent, and dehumanizing.
Katherine at the front desk demonstrates a clear disregard for patient well-being. Rather than offering support or professionalism, she engages in bullying behavior and chooses to slander patients instead of fulfilling her responsibilities. While she represents the most immediate and alarming failure of this “psychiatric practice,” she is unfortunately only the beginning of the deeper systemic issues present here. As for the actual psychiatric “care” provided by this practice, my experience has been as follows: Throughout my time here, I did not receive meaningful evaluations, careful listening, or thoughtful treatment planning. My concerns and symptoms were consistently dismissed without genuine discussion or exploration. There was no collaborative approach to care, and no clear guidance or diagnosis updates provided. The interactions felt mechanical, rushed, and impersonal, lacking the empathy, expertise, and problem-solving a psychiatrist is expected to provide. As a patient seeking real help for serious concerns, the absence of attentive care has caused ongoing frustration and delayed my ability to heal. I would not recommend this office to others seeking genuine psychiatric care. Patients deserve professionals who listen, engage, and support them with skill and compassion — none of which I experienced here.
So I’ve been one of Dr.B’s patients for at least 12 years at the 23rd location. I asked if he would take me on as new patient .to his new office he was professional and handled everything on the up and up unlike the other psych Dr. I leave that story alone. .He had been been great . I fee like I’m an easy patient as patients go. He’s helped me through major crisis in my life . Then threre this an awesome P..A Mrs Mary Schlick we have so much love for her, she kind listens. Without shoving us out the door “lol . Though the years iv seen several students do internships. I really like them new one young dark hair very attentive.. I never skip appointments and it’s very rare I no show unless I mix up the appointment like I did this last time . They have a strict policy 2 no shows getting you removed from seeing them. As I was ready to leave with tears in my eyes I wait it out 45 min. Told Paula I would have to leave to pick my daughter and it was up to Dr b and Kathryn who we all know as very stern. I got a call from Paula saying the were going to get me in since I showed up but 15 min later appointment. I said please thank Dr b & Katheryn. Went in day and personally gave her the prayer sign and thanked her. I think she stays behind the book and does a great job but may lack the patience and daily people skills for running the office. It takes a strong woman with a backbone to do all that. I did have a small reasonable argument years ago but time has gone on. She definitely needs a pat on the back for her all her hard work.she does running the office. Show her respect and kindness because you never know if you can’t make appointments and they choice is up to her and Dr B if your fit to keep up your ends. We are need mental help and in order to better for our selves . Just show her kindness and smile and be greatful knowing that their only trying to make your life smoother and conduct their business with consistent patients taking their orders and I am one !! ~ Signed a happy camper w/o loose screws lol.😆
