My therapist, James, and the ladies at the front desk are amazing. I feel think my treatment plan is working. However, I had an appointment this morning at 10 am. Unbeknownst to me, it was cancelled. No communication via phone or text. Phone number on file is correct. The location is close to my house, so getting there isn’t an issue. The issue is/was the inconvenience and the lack of communication.
I've been through at least 4 rounds of aqua therapy here and I'm always pleased with my treatment so the facility is my reason for the rating. There is one shower in there and it's in the bathroom where people go to change. I show up 5-10 minutes before my appointments to change clothes and rinse off before I get in the pool. There's usually someone in the shower at the end of their session and they're not quick about it. Add to that the fact that there's usually 2 people in their small pool at the same time. I've been "late" getting in the pool because of this. Now, imagine this for four rounds of 15 sessions. I've asked why there is only one shower and complained about having to wait while I'm wet for a quick rinse before going back to work. I was told that it was decided that to cost too much to put in a better shower area. It doesn't feel good to know the people in charge of my medical treatment knowingly inconvenience the clients that rely on them to save some money. They saved money but continuously waste client's time in the process. If you have the option to go to a different location then you should consider going there if you don't want to introduce unnecessary aggravation into your day.
The PTs are fabulous. They certainly helped me greatly. I give them a 5* review -- highly recommended. But the administration was rude, dismissive and terrible to work with. I called their main billing office, they were very helpful. The front desk wanted me to pay some of my deductible without knowing an invoice number or the amount of a bill. I was first told by the front desk that they could not access the insurance deductions. Their main billing office said they could. I was first presented with a bill of over $700 for my first visit. I didn't pay the front desk. I preferred to wait for a bill with an invoice number (I kept a spreadsheet) and a clear amount of the insurance deductions. Their main billing office told me that it takes them 30 days to get the numbers from my insurance company. Then it takes another 30 days if I pay online to be posted. I am not sure how accurate any of that is, but it took a very long time to get an accurate bill. So enjoy the excellent medical attention but try to ignore or tolerate the rude and dismissive front desk staff.
Staff are super great ! And tend to every need I wish I could give 100000 stars ! Thank you guys for all the hard work y'all do !
James, & Talia, have been working with my mom as her therapist’s! They are such great therapists, knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, friendly! This place is awesome!!!
Therapists and staff are great but Nova Care hired a third party billing company who didn’t notify me of my bill and then when I paid at the counter, I was told that I’d have to call an 800 number to get a receipt that my FSA would accept. When I called that number, I waited on hold just to be told that they had not recognized my payment yet and it would take up to 7 business days to recognize the payment and I’d need to call back to get the receipt. Meanwhile my FSA wants a receipt or I have to pay them. This is an unnecessary administrative mess. Healthcare facilities should do better for their patients.
I have had chronic neck pain for almost 10 years and tried so many chiropractors, massage therapists, acupuncturists, and spent so much money because none of them were covered by insurance, and nothing they did helped or was a solution to strengthen my body and heal my neck. But after 2 appointments with James Fischer at NovaCare, my neck is so much better! And this is a lasting approach with stretches and exercises that will stengthen the muscles that support my neck. And it's covered by my insurance! Thank you for helping me heal after all these years.
I have been coming to this facility for a very long time. I have never had a bad experience. From the front desk to all of the therapist, things are always great 😃! My favorite happy person Lisa Hartman is leaving today and I am so sad. She is a great motivator and therapist. I'm going to really miss her😢❣️
I felt like I was part of the family as soon as I walked in. The front desk receptionists are very friendly. Megan has worked with me so much. She gives her patients the right exercises for their condition at the correct level to be fully beneficial for her patients. I have had a couple of scheduling conflicts that she did work out with me. Most importantly she genuinely cares about her patients well being. I would recommend this facility to anyone who wants a pleasant experience in maybe a not so pleasant time of their life.
First I was impressed with the friendly receptionist who assisted with a timely scheduling of an appointment. Several days later, I needed information sent to me, and she kindly sent that to me quickly. There was also a follow-up call to confirm it was received. During my initial evaluation, staff members realized I had driven from just West of Downtown to Gahanna, and informed me of the many different NovaCare Rehabilitation locations. My preferred location was E. Broad Street, and there I met Ryan. He worked with me to further understand my needs, and to establish a plan for my Vestibular Imbalance (a new term for me, but I was suffering horrible imbalance issues). We later moved to core strengthening. Ryan has been amazing at pushing me to be motivated through adversity. He’s also customized many different strengthening exercises I could do at home, and took time to very specifically instruct me on doing them not only properly, but also safely in my home. Since my challenges are both balance and strength related, I’m a fall risk, it was very important my own follow-up at home was done safely. He was careful to review that information in detail. During my visits, I’ve witnessed many patients in various stages of their treatment plans, and am quite confident in their combined staff members. An absolute high recommend from me. I continue treatment currently, and certainly would go back if there was a need later.
