I was a patient of Dr Serednesky over 40 years ago and as I recall he was very attentive and concerned and caring. I just looked him up to see if he still was available. I'd like to know if he still has his records from over 40 years ago at The Cleveland ave Medical Center. I'd sure like to know what I was talking about 🤔
Ngl think this dude is too old to be in his position, not trying to be rude but I believe due to his age he holds lots of outdated viewpoints. Went to him wanting to get diagnosed with ADHD he seems very disinterested and would focus on me being more anxious and how I was overweight. Almost made me cry the first time I met him. You feel suicidal or hopeless in your life? This dude will make you feel worse! Not to mention the tapes he wants you to listen to they don't help.. don't go to this guy especially if you're overweight, he'll keep bringing it up even if you aren't interested in losing weight. :)
Does not treat new patients with respect. I was in the waiting area and another patient was waiting as well. He came and said "Patient". I was sitting with a friend and asked, which one (wanting to hear a name), he dryly replied, the patient who is to be seen of course. I got up to enter, he gave my friend a sideways condescending look. He was with me for less than 20 minutes and told me that I had a bad and nasty attitude. I got up and left. He is rude, uncompassionate (asked me why was I was crying), he is extremely condescending ( scolded me about my teenage pregnancy, belittled me about my eating..he noticed I am a bit overweight) . He said, " I guess you are how you are because no one liked you as a kid." I am an older adult. I think this man should not be allowed to be in this field. A person who is truly suicidal would have gone out and killed himself/herself. He offered to provide me with books and tapes for me to cure myself. Why bother having mental health professionals if we can cure ourselves. Please, please, no matter how desperate you are, do not go to George E. Serednesky, his bedside manners and approach to those who need help, are cold.
