I went into this C&P exam blind. I didn't have a diagnosis and never went to see a doctor like 95% of soldiers. This doctor (lol) dismissed my problems and blamed my cushy civilian job and tech school (as unspecified anxiety) and not the you know deployment to a war zone in the US Army. And she completely undervalued my symptoms and downright dismissed them. A week later I talk to a psychiatrist and get diagnosed with PTSD, Panic disorder, generalized anxiety and social anxiety. It was absolutely worse than the other reviews tell you it was.
My C&P exam with Dr. Dorr went very well. She made me feel comfortable with giving the information she needed to complete her evaluation. I did not feel rushed and I believe she was thorough. My entire appoint ran over an hour.
I am a veteran who went to a C&P exam to unfortunately have her conduct the exam. She didn't listen to anything I said, nor any of the proof I bought along. The exam was rushed, only asked a few questions, and had me circle some things on a sheet of paper. That was it. That was the entire exam. I can't speak for everyone's experience, but what she did was not an assessment. If she's your examiner, CALL TO GET A NEW ONE.
Wasn’t surprised to see that others felt exactly how I do…a year later and still frustrated by the lack of empathy and feeling of complete dirt that she left me with. This whole process has been discouraging and has added to my lack of trust in a system in which I believe was supposed to help myself and other veterans.
Very low quality examination. This “doctor” spent the entire time typing her report instead of being accurate. VA needs to find better psych workers to contract with. Dorr didn’t care, came off very fake, and did a very inadequate report on something that matters in my, and my Daughter’s life very much. Now we lose everything. 27 years suffering with an illness and praying for justice. Down the drain! Run away from this person. She won’t help you. You’re literally just a number to her.
I'm a veteran who has been diagnosed with PTSD from wartime by multiple doctors. I went to Dr Dorr for help and she told me that she didn't believe that I was going through the hardships I faced because I went on to get a college degree. She then documented that I didn't face what I factually had faced as part of Veteran Evaluation Services. Her mistreatment resulted in further challenges for me. I do not recommend that anyone see this lady. She is inconsiderate, cold, and unlike any mental health doctor I've ever encountered.
