I cannot praise the work that RELATE NI have done with our pupils enough. Feedback from our pupils was brilliant. They enjoyed how Geraldine delivered the programme and how she engaged with them. The Relationship and Sexual Education programme is something every school should avail of. Everything, from engaging with Kellie to setting up the programme to Geraldine coming into the centre was done professionally and efficiently. We will definitely set this programme up on a yearly basis for our pupils.
I’m not sure how this company has received bad reviews in the past, but Relate NI has been instrumental in mending my life for the past year. I want to specifically mention Anandi who is an extremely talented, compassionate and comforting counsellor who has, in many ways, saved my life and allowed me to flourish in ways I didn’t think possible before starting. The reception staff are always welcoming and friendly as well. There may be a bit of a waiting list, but that is more reflective of a lack of services across NI and the volume of individuals who require treatment not readily available in this country. Relate are worth the wait and I am blessed to have been provided their services which I continue to use when and as needed.
Fantastic resource. Excellent and very relevant/topical information given by Kellie. She was excellent doing a presentation/talk with our new team.
Kellie delivered an extremely informative session to our new parents to be in Gold Surestart which was so well receieved. we will avail of this service again in the coming months. Thank you
Great workshops on healthy relationships and how we can all work on our relationships with ourselves and others.
Did the Sustaining Healthy Relationships workshop with a group of Antenatal mums. What a laugh we had but more importantly it made us look at what we do to impact our relationships, rather than what our partners do. It's a two way street. We need to communicate our feelings and wishes - our partners are not psychic.
Affable counsellor. However, the fifty minute session didn’t really move me forward in any particular direction, so all in all I’d say I left the meeting a little disappointed. Plus, I felt £55 was on the steep side, especially when money is tight.
First of, let me say my counselor was lovely. However I felt the sessions going in circles- we came to the realization that the service was not suitable to my needs- however this was never spoken to me so I continually paid for a service. Each week I would be given exercises to complete or asked specific questions for these to be re-asked in the following sessions, with no recollection I had already been given said questions/exercises. Additionally, couple counselling was part of the therapy- but there were at no point sessions to address what was said separately/to regroup on what we discussed- we did this ourselves independently- without guidance of a counselor. I was paying £50 for a hour long session- that was actually closer 25 mins in length, with my last session lasting 13 minutes! I would not recommend this service again.
I was with a previous counselling agency and had around 6 sessions before my counsellor and I finally came to the agreement that the counselling they provided wasn’t what I needed to target the root problems from my past. So I was referred here instead. I had an amazing counsellor. Personable from the get-go. Down to earth so easy to get along with, relatable, and she was able to target the root causes within my first 2 sessions with her; amazing work. I had given up and thought no one could help me until this point. I felt comfortable enough to be completely open and brutally honest and as a result, I got the full benefit of counselling with Relate NI. I had 12 sessions in total - I wished I could have spent more time with my counsellor the lady was so good at what she does and the most important thing, she got me, and there was no judgement; everything 100% confidential, within guidelines of counselling as a practice, of course. I had tried and failed on MANY occasions to get the help I needed to noticeably improve my life and this is what I found with Relate NI. That they were relatable and the staff them employ are experts at what they do, whatever you need. Special shout out to Allannah (sorry) for her organising skills. Not once did I have to wait for the confirmation with zoom links, passwords etc. Bang on time, every Sunday, 3 days before my appointment for the entire 12 sessions I would have what I needed - very efficient communication, even on weekends due to Covid-19. And to those worrying about I have nothing but amazing things to say about this agency and don’t know why on earth it’s getting a 3.8 Google rating. Seems crazy to me given the magical work that was undertaken in my life within 11 sessions (missed one). I have absolutely no reservations recommending this service to anyone needing counselled; addiction, relationships, families, trauma etc. I’d love to give my thanks to my actual counsellor but I won’t mention her name but I want to say a HUGE thanks for how far you’ve helped me come and for the journey we took together. I was very fortunate and privileged to have such a good counsellor whom I gelled with instantly. Thanks for the bottom of my heart.
Really welcoming and very clean place and really calm enviroment and lovely staff and ive only started on 9/1/19
