A Good Place is a well known therapy practice located in my office building and has been for many years a trusted referral partner. I've only ever heard positive feedback from patients and colleagues and having known the founder personally for over a decade I know they have strong ethics and high competency. Strongly recommend this practice.
We’ve referred multiple patients to AGP, and the feedback is always outstanding. The entire AGP team is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and truly cares about the well-being of their patients. They go above and beyond in their care and communication. We highly recommend AGP to anyone looking for exceptional treatment and a team you can trust.
I consult with the owner, Kerrie, on my own clinical work and leadership. What makes A Good Place Therapy unique is that the group is run by a founder who thinks about therapeutic effectiveness in the context of systemic inequalities, which means the therapy takes the whole person, their context, and power dynamics into account. Having run my own group practice in San Francisco, Kerrie is also great to consult with on healthy leadership that sets clear expectations for staff so their clinical work can flourish and really serve the community in pretty big ways. I have learned from Kerrie how to part ways with staff who aren't meeting clinic standards, rather than keeping folks around who aren't performing well. Kerrie has helped me think about my own leadership and how to be clear and kind when setting limits and keeping the work I do excellent. Outstanding leadership is the foundation for great clinical outcomes among a clinical staff. If you are looking for group practice or leadership consulting, or for a well-run clinic with a leader creating the space for exemplary clinical work, this is your place.
I worked with A Good Place Therapy for several years, and the team there is driven, dedicated, and skilled. The team of therapists offer a variety of approaches and styles, so regardless of what kind of therapy or specialty you're looking for, chances are there is someone who fits the bill! The admin team is also incredibly timely, kind, and helpful, making the logistical side easy to navigate. Overall, it is a great practice to work with!
This is the best psychotherapy group in NYC!! The therapists here are so knowledgeable, seasoned, kind, and caring. The care here is individualized and science based. The owner Kerrie is by far the best therapist I have ever come across and known. Highly recommend this group!!
I have been with A Good Place for almost 2 years. I have worked extensively with two different therapist (Hagar Ron and Jillian Singer). Both have been extremely professional and helpful. Highly recommended!
This place is just trying to take your money. They charge a lot for a 45 min session, seem to advertise a sliding scale, but they don’t actually really believe in it. I was bombarded by billing to submit new financial information after I had recently told my therapist that I had a great financial month, as a freelancer that struggles month to month Unacceptable.
As a black woman I have felt supported by my white therapist at every turn of events this past year. She has also helped me enroll in a program that helps me pay for therapy (after I asked for help) and has always told me that I’m allowed to tell her about herself if I ever feel a cultural boundary has been crossed. I have had an amazing experience with therapy at a good place and that is a statement about therapy many like me do not get the privilege to make.
Kerrie and the entire team at A Good Place Therapy are a wonderful and open minded group of practitioners. They share a compassionate ethos toward each other and their clients - which comes through in the vibe and energy of the space. The decor is exquisite and I feel really rejuvenated after spending time there. Highly recommended
