Moved here at the end of May. I have a number of back muscle issues stemming from two surgeries and needed a gifted experienced therapist. The experience was very therapeutic and helped relieve alot of the inflammation and pain that I suffer from. She is very genuine and professional. I felt very comfortable and relaxed during our session. Highly recommend.
Lauren listened to my requests for a healing, restorative massage. When I left, I felt relieved of stress and completely at peace. Her pressure was just what I needed and she checked in with me to make sure it was what I wanted.
I am so happy I tried a massage with Lauren! She is very kind and friendly, and she will make sure that you are comfortable throughout the entire process. If youβre looking for a massage therapist in abq, definitely go to Lauren! Highly recommend going for the 90 minute option.
Finding a massage therapist who can provide space that actually feels safe is a hard thing to do as a non binary trans person. The amount of questions asked ahead of time, the Covid protocol and options offered around such, the space for laughter, conversation, and tears, it was all impressive to say the least. Consent based touch is a huge deal, and the level of communication around intention to find the right balance was a huge indicator that Lauren was listening to my body (even as I nervously talked through the sessionπ¬). I definitely recommend Lauren for queer and trans folks who are looking for an experience that allows kind access to embodiment without shame. Sheβs magic, and Iβm deeply grateful for the ways she supports this community.
Lauren is one of the best massage therapists in ABQ! She listens to what I need help with and is communicative throughout the session. Lauren has a gentle, fun, and comforting presence and answers any questions that come up during the body work. So grateful to have found her :)
Lauren is wonderful! Iβve been going to see her for a few months now (I typically go about once a month). I am very overweight and so I was nervous about getting a massage from anyone but was dealing with some chronic back pain that really needed the occasional massage and now Iβm using the massages as a great bit of self care and time to relax. During our first session I was clearly a nervous wreck and Lauren was great about making me feel comfortable and welcome even though I am not comfortable in my own body. Sheβs never made me feel self conscious and is really there to listen to what you need from the massage and to make you feel good. Would highly recommend Lauren and Relaximus Maximus for anyone needing a massage. So worth it!
Lauren took the time, in depth, to understand my concerns and issues with neuropathy. She took care to ensure that I was comfortable, that I felt heard, and most of all that I was having a relaxing experience. Since my neurological issues began, this was the first time that I've submitted myself to a 'hands-on' experience beyond Physical Therapy - and it really renewed my faith and joy that my body could react to touch again in a positive and healing way. I 100% add my voice to her clientele. Will most certainly return the next time I can!
Lauren was very kind and made my first massage a great experience.
Got the wife a session for our anniversary. She loved it! She said Lauren was amazing!
I just had my first massage with Lauren and can honestly say it was the first time I felt like someone was listening to my body and providing a treatment that was specifically tailored to me. She worked my hips and hamstrings in a completely new and different way. Today my body is feeling relaxed and a whole lot lighterβnot so tense. I appreciate that Lauren is a clear communicator and inclusive of all body types, genders, etc. I canβt wait to schedule my next appointment.
