I had my roommate/best friend drive me because 2 days in a row I had bad suicidal thoughts and ideation. The doctors and nurses were very nice and made me feel comfortable. They were helpful in giving me options on how to possibly help my situation.

Went in because I wasn't sleeping well for weeks, maybe 2-4 hours a night, and needed help with sleep. Doctors and staff are great but I waited 5 hours during my first visit. During my second visit, 2 weeks later, I had stopped sleeping completely for a couple of days, and needed supervision while I slept with the help of a prescription drug with a side effect potential for sleep loss. Again I waited for 30 min for a nurse, explained my situation and was made to wait again after speaking to the nurse. This time I was not going to sit there to potentially wait for hours on end again. I just left. Now I'm being charged by my insurance for the first and second visit. I understand the first one where they actually did something. But the second one?! Where they didn't do anything?!

Wow this place is great! I have severe anxiety and depression and I have medication that helps me a lot but I did not have a US prescription as I was living overseas. It was an emergency situation as I was out of my meds and terrified of withdrawals. I was suspicious of going to a psychiatric hospital because I never have before and I watch too many movies. I had tried getting appointments with doctors in town but was turned away everywhere. I tried the Brightside app which claims it can prescribe antidepressants, but the provider did not believe my story and thought I was trying to fill a prescription in two countries, despite not filling it once. Minute Clinic at CVS did not have any availabilities. When I arrived at the psychiatric emergency services at UNM, I filled out a form and within minutes had my BP taken and saw a nurse who I explained my situation to. She immediately took me seriously and was sympathetic to my problem. I was not treated like a looney or dismissed as someone looking for drugs. My biggest phobia is not being believed and/or dismissed, so their handling of the situation was perfect and very professional. The building is brand new, clean, modern, and not intimidating. You have the right to get up and leave when you want to, and they do not force any treatment on you. They hand you your list of rights as soon as you arrive. They gave me two months of my medication and gave me a list of providers in town with availabilities for new patients. I cannot recommend this place more for someone who feels like they are in an unsolvable situation.

I was seen at the urgent care not emergency department. This is a life saver since most regular emergency rooms don’t like to treat mental health issues. The staff are beyond friendly and if you get there when they open at 930 the wait is minimal. I really can’t say enough great things about this place and residents of New Mexico are lucky to have a place to go for urgent mental health issues ❤️

I was told to come here by my Psychiatrist if I needed help, I am a single mom with a troubled child, I really needed help. The nurse was so kind and concerned and cared about what i was going through until the doctor came in and interrupted us. This Dr. who was suppose to help , rushed me, asked me questions but told me NO NEED TO EXPLAIN, did not seem to care nor help me, basically rushed me out the door after waiting for so long patiently. I am very disappointed in this place, I just pray I can find the help that I need before things get worse for myself since this place could not.

Super long wait, about 3 hours. Even though the wait room was pretty empty. We got a referral to Enchantment Healthcare Partners on comanche rd. My son specifically told the doctor at the ER that he was not interested in taking meds. The people at this Enchantment place only see patients already on medication or people that want to go on medication. The person that saw my son blatantly told him, “if you’re not on meds, I can’t help you. I only offer therapy for people already on meds or who want meds”. To top it off this place is not taking most insurances, so I paid close to $100 for nothing. This was a total waste of time and money. Also, they don’t have a website, otherwise I would have left a review on their website as well. I wish the ER doctors would listen more closely to their patients and provide better referrals.
