Katy Fehr has been an outstanding therapist for me over the past few years. She is kind, communicative and compassionate, but doesn’t let me slide or make excuses for my behaviors that are less than appropriate or healthy, nor will she readily accept if I do not dig deep enough into my own thought processes in order to figure out my personal ownership of my issues and how to improve my interactions. She refers me to reading material, videos, authors, support services and groups and really cares if I make progress with our sessions. She’s personable and always remembers things I tell her about situations with my children and references back to them in later sessions to see how or if the situation or issue is resolving. She’s a great listener and has given me tools to use to keep my calm in very emotionally challenging conversations with my teenage daughter. That is no small feat!! Katy has been an absolute life saver. I think back to how I was interacting with my children and others in my world before I started seeing Katy as compared to now and there’s a huge, positive difference. I can’t say enough great things about her thoughtful and compassionate approach to counseling and what a big help she’s been to me.
