I waited 4 months to be seen by this Dr, only to be told that he refused treatment if I smoked the very legal plant: marijuana. It was because of his "personal beliefs." ...I had been treated for ADHD since I was 5 years old. Executive dysfunction made it difficult to get in to begin with, and life is hard with ADHD... Anyway, I soon after lost my job and my home because I just couldn't get my brain to do the freakin thing. It goes quickly: Then my husband.. my kid... My life .. all went bye bye. Quickly... I'm not saying it's his fault... But not getting a much needed psychiatric medication that I've depended on my entire life SURELY didn't help. What it comes down to is that there's no room in medicine for your "personal beliefs." Treat people that need treatment - because THAT is what your licensed to do... or maybe that license should go quickly.
