One of the best equipped and organised fitness centers I have been to. Very clean and staffed with the kindest and friendliest people. I visited the center almost daily for the time I was in Albuqueque and it was smooth all the time.
Current member and have been a previous member of this facility multiple times over the years. Best way I can describe this place is like an Anytime Fitness with a little extra space to stretch out. Machines all work and cover all muscle groups. Plenty of free weights. There's a few treadmills and a couple of ellipticals and stair masters. They have pared down some of the extra offerings over the years with the ownership change such as the removal of the towel service, vending machine, and staffing (i.e. classes and trainers), but what remains is a very serviceable gym with ownership who clearly cares. Only thing I would like to see is better attention given to the plumbing in the men's bathroom and fixing the stall door. Same bathroom stall has a faulty lock for nearly 9 years lol.
Edit : The equipment has expanded Water fountain has been working great, and music playing at night so I don’t hear every grunt and moan , cleanliness has since got better , perfect no , but no gym out here in the desert will be spotless. All in all good improvement and enjoying my time here This equals to a motel gym . The staff is friendly , however for 50 a month you get very limited space / equipment . The water fountain hasn’t worked since I’ve been here 2 months ago. I stepped on a huge roach in the locker rooms. The facility is very dirty , bad plumpin so constant sink build up , no ventilation in lockers so the odors stay stenching through out. During late hours there’s no music so you can hear every breath in the space . I say this place needs some serious Maintenance and cleaning. The bathrooms need to be daily deep cleaned . It’s unfortunate there’s lots of potential for this place.
Regrettably, a recent policy change regarding bicycle access has impacted my ability to continue utilizing your facilities. Previously, I was a frequent patron, often cycling to the gym. However, the new regulation prohibiting bicycles inside the premises presents a significant concern. Given the considerable investment in my bicycle, exceeding $2,000, securing it to a public rack in the downtown area is not a viable option for me. Consequently, due to this revised management policy, I will no longer be able to patronize your gym. Fortunately, Albuquerque offers numerous alternative fitness centers that accommodate cyclists. Furthermore, it seems counterintuitive for a gym, an establishment dedicated to promoting physical activity, to discourage active modes of transportation such as cycling to its location.
I'll start by saying the instructors at the gym are helpful and great. But the owner of the gym is outright confrontational and rude. Been a member for about 4 months. The first interaction with the owner was horrible. Don't want to support a gym with someone who is comfortable being aggressive with members.
There are many great attributes to this gym such as the size not being too big nor too small, the nice equipment layout, the friendliness of the staff and the downtown 24 hour convenience. However, the best aspect of this gym is that they clean it often and it shows. It never smells in there and the floors/equipment are always wiped down daily. Such a nice change from some other gyms around town. Highly recommend.
I love coming in here I always feel welcomed by the entire staff. It’s not only an amazing gym it’s so much more! Kaleb and matt are fantastic yoga instructors. The person trainers are all wonderful I wish I could sign up with all of them! It’s very clean and I love the sauna. I love that they offer services that go along with wellness. Clean, friendly staff, great equipment, and a welcoming environment. This gym is everything you could ask for and more.
We are so excited that this new, holistic, wonderful group has taken over the old Sims gym. The place looks absolutely amazing and everyone we met involved in the enterprise is incredibly friendly and professional. The 24 hour access is amazing and the place looks great.
CB and wellness is Albuquerque‘s newest and probably most interesting gym. Apart from having everything you would expect in a regular gym, they also have a Barber an aesthetician a sauna a mental health therapist on staff some of their personal trainers are also physical therapists their yoga program is amazing with instructors who are certified in trauma yoga and other holistic forms of healing. I had never done yoga before, and I felt very comfortable in Caleb‘s class. Definitely would recommend!
I have been in a pretty dark, lonely place for a while, so thought I'd see if doing Yoga, with Kaleb, Sun morning would begin the removal of that dreary place. I could not believe the amazing feeling of purging the "gunk" that occurred from doing this class! Kaleb's energy, spirit, and voice was absolutely wonderful. I left this Yoga class with a feeling of such calmness, that was unbelievable. This is a class I will continue to attend on a regular basis. I am grateful to CBM and Kaleb for the beginning of my healing process!!
