Everyone that works here is SO AWESOME! I mainly come to use the computer and charge my phone, BUT they offer MANY other resources!!! It's nice to go somewhere where you feel SAFE & NOT JUDGED about your homelessness! THEY REALLY CARE! If i could give them a hundred stars and not just five, i would!

I'm rating this place 5 stars. I have a really good friend who works there, not mentioning any names.. I'm eating 5 stars because these people have many life skills classes and offers a listening ear when your going through something and live the feedback they give.. My first time actually to set up an appointment or at least to sign up for classes they teach and their own personal experiences giving hope back to society living clean & serene giving that little umph to have triumph for the future. I found myself a place where I can go and receive the knowledge and tools for my recovery one moment at a time..so if your looking for life skill classes to get back in society clean and sober. Go see for yourself they have many things going on ask one of the employees they will even hand out resources.

I have been in a domestic violence relationship for nearly 18 years and had no place to go and no hope to be found. I called nearly every domestic violence center in Albuquerque and was simply put on wishlists. I felt hopeless and was ready to head back to the abusive environment that's nearly destroyed me when I finally came across Albuquerque Center for Hope she Recovery. Desperate for help and hope, I called and was kindly greeted by the one of the most caring and compassionate Peer Support Specialist named Antoinette Gonzales. She did everything in her power to ensure I had a positive outcome and she came through like no one ever has before. It truly feels like she was a godsend. I am now in a safe environment and it is purely due to her hard work and effort. I'm so grateful for everything she has done for me and my daughter! Thank you, Antoinette. You are a true asset to this community... Keep up the great work! I see a bright future ahead of you! Albuquerque Center for Hope and Recovery is blessed to have you on their team!

Brought my nephew here to get some help. Very helpful, friendly people, friendly atmosphere. Recommend this for anyone who is homeless and needing assistance with drug/alcohol treatment or work.

Awesome place for anyone with challenges in recovery, homelessness or just needing resources within the community to go to. Employees are awesome and willing to help in any way they can. Highly recommended!

I took my brother here in hopes of finding him help. I felt the peers were dismissive and uncompassionate. I had hopes that a peer could provide resources for alcohol abuse. Maybe the experience was off because my brother was intoxicated but I imagine most people seeking help aren't in a sober state. I wasn't expecting miracles but I thought maybe if he could hear how others got sober he would give it a try. He says he wants to get sober but the cravings and withdrawels are unbearable. I can't relate which was why I thought this would be a good avenue to explore. I was completely wrong and feel like this experience only pushed him further away. I'm sadly disappointed that this is the help addicts are receiving.

The Albuquerque Center for Hope and Recovery is a priceless resource that's easy to overlook even though it's in the heart of the Judicial District in Albuquerque. It's a down to earth business that offers a variety of services to clients who are experiencing difficulties like job hunting, resume building, food assistance resources as well as NM Medicaid provider specialists that help you apply for and mostly get approved for Medical Insurance through NM Centennial Care. The staff are customer pro's because they are in recovery themselves and are eager and willing to help another person pick themselves up and gain traction to improving their lives. The counseling classes and lifeskills training are small and don't pressure you in any way to do anything you don't want to do. They have fresh hot coffee and donuts, milk and cereal, bagels, and lunch is served on a rotating basis. They have a lunch room with Netflix available, DVD's to view, art crafts, Apple Mac to use, and clothing if needed. You can always expect a quiet, restful environment that's sometimes exactly what a person struggling with life issues needs to have. A God-centered business that believes in the 12-Step program for self-discovery and improvement!

I commend the work this organization does in the community. They have social workers, peer support, and referrals. They even host Addict2Athlete, which places individuals in recovery from substance abuse in workout groups, followed by counseling.
