My son told me that he's had 4 monthly injections at Westcare, and on the 4th one the nurse didn't get the medication in the muscle only into his skin like a TB test, after the injection it developed a bubble and popped then got infected. I took him to the ER a few weeks later when he showed me that it got worse and oozing, the ER Doc said he got cellulitis at the injection site, the Doc put him on abx aka antibiotics. We went to Westcare on his appointment date Saturday and waited for an hour while the nurse was in the bathroom the whole time she never came out after an hour, so before we left. I suggested to the receptionist that they need to drug test their nurse.
Great place to get ur self together the staff treat u like family a lot of moral support and motivation I want better for my self and will accomplish my goals.
I Called here the other day for a friend & was told they no longer do detox for drugs here.
I came to west care and I was scared at first but I came around 2018 and I would recommend them to go there this place is awesome......
Newer, non-smoking, handicap accessible, secure, short term drug & alcohol detox facility. First came through in 2016, when it first opened, on my way to a 90 day Westcare residential program. Now I have 4.5 years clean and sober. I visit monthly to speak to clients about getting recovery, because this is where my new life first began, and I am grateful. It is what you make it. Staff works very hard, and will help you with many resources for recovery. But you have to ask!
That place kicked me out cause I was itching myself and they thought I was doin something else they should of took me off to the side and told me if I need to itch down there to go into the bathroom they didn't say anything to me they just through me out do I hope one has to deal with that place and the two employees that kicked me out I hope that they get fired cause I am goin to complain about them and that the place should be shut down with the infestation of roaches there that is a in healthy place to be
Worst place to go for opiate detox/withdrawal. They give you a cheap knock off of subutex and it's a low dose so it doesn't take your pain away..it doesn't make anything stop or feel less horrible. You seriously are better off detoxing cold turkey in jail. At least then your body goes into shock nd you don't feel your body dying. But anyways, this place is truly for the "hardcore, last chance or else" type people. If you have no money. no way to get suboxone or methadone..then this place will help the addict in need. It'll provide you with food nd a bed. But if you can't stand pain. Don't go here..
