Legitimate nightmare dealing with making appointments and billing, actual therapy was great. Asked if they took cash for my first appointment and they said absolutely. Receptionist day of then says no cash and she will talk to manager but takes the cash. This is clearly never logged and the money was stolen. Never got a receipt. Went to two more appointments as they “figure out” the cash issue. Then I cancel the rest of my appointments because they were not figuring it out, never responding to my emails, never answering the phone, never returning my calls after leaving voicemails. Finally my brother paid my balance because I don’t have a credit card, I use cash. To this day I am being harassed by this company for payment insisting it wasn’t paid and asking for proof. Oh my god not worth the hassle at all. Also businesses not accepting cash is an extremely classist way of operating. I HATE posting bad reviews but ive literally had enough.
My 91-year old father was dealing with a bad case of Vertigo and thanks to two sessions with Josh, he's totally cured. The team at True Sports Fells Point helped us get in quickly and Josh was truly amazing. I had never heard of vestibular therapy before and apparently not all PT's are trained to offer treatment, but Josh certainly knows his stuff!! He asked all the right questions, knew how to diagnose and treat the dizziness, and my dad was back to being himself in less than one week. We are beyond grateful!!
Had a great experience with my physical therapy at True Sports. Josh was knowledgable and professional, and I was successfully treated for several for several persistent injuries. If I have another issue in the future, I will definitely come back.
I've been working with Josh at this True Sports location the past few months and have had a great experience. Josh is extremely attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and patient when I ask questions or raise concerns. I have been making lots of progress already with my shoulder and would recommend him to anyone seeking physical therapy.
True Sports is an amazing physical therapy group! I had been going there for a year and started with Mary. Mary challenged me (whew), but I saw results quickly. When Mary left, I was sad, but she paired me with Josh. Josh quickly took it up another level and brought in creative ways to challenge me and help me work through my injuries. He was a good listener and if he wasn't sure about something, he had no problem checking in with other PTs to get clarity. True Sports has been essential in my recovery process!!
I went to True Sport for a post-op foot injury. While my physical therapist was very nice, there were multiple things that disappointed me. $15 additional cost: I saw the reasoning throughout other comments, but it's BS. I was told when I started going the $15 was for the app that had my exercises, that's all. However, many times the app wasn't working and my PT just took videos on my phone. It is a predatory and unreasonable cost, especially considering the PT place I am at now gives us app access for no additional cost. One important part of my post-op therapy included physical manipulation of my foot to work through the scar tissue that formed. My PT barely put any pressure when manipulating my foot, even after I told her to put more pressure and even had my surgeon write a new PT script that specified her working through the tension in my foot. I felt my visits were useless many times since we just did the exercises I was doing at home already. My visits were also only 45 minutes, and I was never offered ice or heat stim after my sessions. I ultimately left because my PT was leaving, and I wished I had listened to my instincts that I was not receiving the proper care. When I started at my new PT office, my therapist said my post-op recovery would take longer than it should because my past PT did not properly care for my condition. Lastly, I found the front desk to be moody and unfriendly. They also never answered the phone during working hours. If you are looking for a physical therapist, I recommend Phoenix PT. I receive amazing care, hospitality, and with no additional cost.
Great PT! Coaches are awesome and knowledgeable. They try different approaches to give you the best care, and sessions are very fun and dynamic. Highly recommend this place if you are recovering from an injury and want to recover in the best (and fastest) possible way.
I was referred to this physical therapy practice by Dr. Cordova Vallejos at Hopkins and initially had high expectations. While both Zach and Ahmaad were helpful in addressing my therapy needs, there were several serious issues that made my overall experience deeply disappointing. First, I repeatedly observed that neither Zach nor Ahmaad sanitized or washed their hands before or after treating patients—including when transitioning directly from one patient to the next. In a healthcare setting, especially in today’s environment, this lack of basic hygiene is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the clinic’s standards for patient safety. Second, the way billing was handled was unprofessional and lacked transparency. From the beginning, I was told that I was required to keep a credit card on file. This was presented as a non-negotiable expectation, yet no one offered the courtesy of explaining why it was necessary or how it would be used. While I understood and expected to pay my copays, I was never provided with receipts, invoices, or any clear breakdown of additional charges. Even more concerning, I was discharged by Ahmaad without any discussion. There was no conversation about my progress, treatment goals, or whether I felt ready to end therapy—it simply happened. Although I had started to feel better, the lack of communication and closure was unprofessional. Worst of all, two months after I was discharged, I continue to receive random, unexplained charges to my credit card—charges that are beyond my regular copays. These charges are made with no prior notice, no explanation, and no receipts. This ongoing issue is not only confusing, it feels deceptive and unethical. While the physical therapy itself was helpful, these serious concerns about hygiene, lack of communication, and questionable billing practices overshadowed any benefit I received. I cannot in good faith recommend this practice to others and hope that they take immediate steps to improve transparency, professionalism, and accountability for the sake of future patients.
Dr. Josh Haffner looks after me at True Sports and I've had the best experience. He can be attentive to multiple needs in one session, is very focused on providing the best care for his patients, and I've been making real progress under his care. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a warm, incredibly competent, and performance-focused PT.
I randomly found True Sports via a Google search, and I am so glad I did. They paired me with Sarah Musselman, who just happens to be an absolutely incredible physical therapist. I was in a bad motorcycle accident and fractured my left collarbone, leaving my left arm pretty useless for weeks. Sarah listened to my goals and was able to help me achieve them starting on my very first appointment! After one month of physical therapy, I almost have 100% range of motion back already and that is due mostly to Sarah’s expertise and support. The True Sports app makes it so easy to know what exercises you are supposed to be doing at home and how to properly complete them. The Bare Hills location is great with easy parking and a fun vibe. I am super grateful to Sarah and True Sports for helping me get my life back, and definitely recommend them to anyone who is seeking physical therapy after an accident.
