Steven E. Lindauer, PhD, is the assistant director of the Pediatric Developmental Disabilities Clinic at the Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. He also holds a position as an assistant professor of psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Lindauer earned his doctorate in developmental and child psychology from the University of Kansas. His research and clinical interests focus on behavioral disorders in children, including the assessment and treatment of intellectual and developmental disabilities. He is particularly interested in identifying the functions of problem behaviors and developing treatments to reduce these behaviors while increasing appropriate ones in children with autism spectrum disorders. He is a Maryland State Licensed Psychologist and a member of the Association for Behavior Analysis.
