This place is not free and they will not help you if you don’t have any type of coverage or insurance. They will cancel before you can even talk to someone. So for assistance if you unemployed and need help with mental health issues. This not the place to go
I just want to say how much of a positive experience I had with Free Baltimore, especially with my provider, Ms. Logan. She is always professional, timely, and truly dedicated to supporting my mental health. Every session feels productive, and she creates a safe, understanding space where I feel heard and supported. Ms. Logan takes the time to listen, offers skills I can use in my daily life, and helps me stay focused on my goals. Her consistency and compassion make a real difference, and I’ve noticed meaningful improvements in my life since working with her. I highly recommend Free Baltimore and Ms. Logan to anyone seeking supportive, reliable, and mental health services. Thank you so much Ms. Logan for everything. I appreciate you helping me when no one else would. ☺️
I tried to come here because of the good reviews NO worse company ever I literally had 2 sessions and been trying to schedule another appointment for months now and no one answers or reply to text (was giving a personal number) and still no reply!
I read all the positive reviews about Free Baltimore and was inclined to pursue my healing journey with them. It’s safe to say that my first experience looking into therapy has been nothing short of a struggle and feels like i’m pulling teeth to get an appointment. The intake assessment person is not the most professional (not terrible either but doesn’t give off the friendly, caring & consistent vibe that you would expect from a therapists office). On my intake assessment visit, she basically tried to force me to give her my abuser(s) contact information? At first she made it seem like it was a requirement that I give that info out, which made me extremely uncomfortable because that’s not what I came there for nor do I want to pursue any actions against them. Then later on after a couple back and forths, she said that I could refuse. My thing is, she could’ve led with the fact that I can refuse instead of making me feel like I had to give her that information at first. That was extremely odd to me. Beyond that, I was told that a therapist would reach out to me the following day but of course that never happened. I called back after a couple days and they basically are telling me that all they can do is send the therapist a message and my appointment is out of their hands lol. A couple weeks later and the therapist that was supposed to reach out to me the next day, STILL has not reached out. Free Baltimore rarely ever even answers the phone so its impossible to get in contact with them. They DO NOT communicate effectively, which is ironic because thats what I was hoping to learn from them but clearly they are incompetent of practicing what they preach. I’ve decided to cancel my services with Free Baltimore and go with Lartey Wellness Group. I called them and they immediately got me set up with my intake forms and got me all scheduled with actual professionals. They ANSWER THE PHONE, communicate, and prioritize getting patients treated asap. I’m sure I made the right decision by cancelling with Free Baltimore. they sure do live up to their name lol
This company is terrible I would not waste my breath made an appointment for a phone consultation, they never called at the scheduled time! Then 20 minutes later I get an email saying I put the wrong number and my appointment was cancelled , however I called back from the same number that was supposedly “wrong” and someone answered. What a joke!
i am so glad that 34 of you had pleasant experiences with Free Baltimore, I wish i could say the same. Unfortunately i was stood up by their “professionals” twice with scheduled sessions and when brought to their attention they showed little empathy and instead made excuses for their staff and poor communication. My partner also utilizes Free Baltimore’s therapy resource and had a session last week where her therapist never showed up & didn’t reach out to her until 4 days later!! When working with such vulnerable clientele i truly feel that this is unacceptable and thank God it was neither of our breaking points. But for this to be my first time really trying to take control of my mental health, these experiences were more than discouraging. To feel unheard all of your life and finally find the courage to speak and get help and then be forgotten by the people who are compensated and licensed to listen and help you is just… I am writing this review simply to hold them accountable in hopes that they will improve their professionalism and communication because quite frankly- lives ARE at risk. Thank you for taking the time to read.
I love Dr. D she is so compassionate and patient. I honestly never believed in mental health treatment. But I must admit I was wrong. This was one of the best decisions I have made. Check out Free Baltimore, they really are a dope agency.
Free Baltimore has the best therapist! Hands down! The best mental health program in Baltimore. I have tried many programs. You won't be disappointed. If you ready to get real treatment.
Free Baltimore LLC is literally a game changer in the city of Baltimore. The owner is amazing. The staff are caring and the environment is beautiful and made to give any client a level of comfort and safety. I have partnered with Free Baltimore to bring work to youth in Baltimore dealing with mental health and the need to normalize therapy. I could honestly say that if anyone is seeking an environment to become a client from people that care; FREE BALTIMORE is the place and space.
