My wife and I are both psychologists and often refer people to Mandala House. They are a compassion and diverse group of clinicians ready to help with any issue.

My husband and I were very close to ending a 50 year marriage when we went to Mandala House. We each worked with an individual counselor and later came together for the four of us to meet. We were not only able to work out some of our old personal baggage but then able to communicate with each other in a completely different way. We all bring baggage into our adult life and sometimes it needs to be reprocessed with our adult mind in order to give it the attention it needs. This allows us to move forward in our life a lot healthier. Mandala helped both of us do exactly that. We are a whole lot happier and have saved a marriage we had invested a lifetime in.

An absolute sham. I thought I was being helped, but then they decided to turn around and lie about my insurance being accepted. They lied for months then decided to hand me a bill for over one point five thousand dollars. I cannot afford this. Also, if you do not pay your bill in a given time frame, they straight up will just take your money. Do not put in your actual payment information. They will scam you and steal your money. This operation is incredibly expensive and unaffordable, not to mention a scam. Do not give this place your time or money.

My son has been coming to the Mandala House for a year. I searched for months to find a place that was inclusive and safe. Close friends go here and had only positive things to say. My son has seen two therapists (due to one moving away), and I could not be happier with the thoughtful and effective approaches these counselors have taken. It has completely changed his world, and I cannot begin to express what that means to me as a parent who wants to support, but is limited. I was so worried when the first therapist he connected to and adored so much was moving, but my son was lovingly and proactively supported with that transition. He’s continuing his growth with his new counselor, and we are excited to be working with her. Additionally, the office staff is always so helpful and patient with me and my questions. They’ve always been happy to research information and resources for us.

The Mandala House has always felt safe and it’s something I look for in when I’m spending a lot of time somewhere. I also love that who I’m seeing specifically chose to work here to help gay/queer people. It makes me feel seen and allowed me to be more freely open. I won’t go into too much detail, but when I first came here I was an emotional wreck and with help I’m in a better place. I’ll always be appreciative of this place for that. It seriously got me through a dark period in my life. I can’t thank this place enough for what it’s done for me. I highly recommend this place, especially if you’re gay/queer. ❤️

So I’ve been going here for 7 years plus. The atmosphere is great, current office admin staff is helpful, calm, and informative. Which is why I will give two stars. The care you receive from the therapists is inconsistent. I mean this because my therapists over the years have “had their license expire” while waiting on board reapproval, which delayed my care, and I ultimately never heard back about that provider being able to ever do therapy again. in addition to 2 psychiatrists leaving the practice with difficult transition periods between providers. I also once stopped seeing a therapist, and when I returned a few months later for care, he told me he could not see me because a friend of mine was now his client. There was no help for me getting another provider with quick turn around at this time, so I was left struggling without the care I was hoping for from a place I have invested so much time, effort, and money into. I once also asked a therapist for a queer therapy recommendation, and the therapist became very hostile with me about the fact that they are a queer person. This had never come up in my discussion of queer experiences or issues. It didn’t really feel like it mattered that my therapist was queer until I was trying to leave and access more meaningful care from a different individual. This person also became demanding of my time and we scheduled an additional 2 sessions that I didn’t really want with this person. There are better practices out there that are less shady and more consistent in being able to provide what you need. Don’t waste your time here.

Mandala House created a welcoming and supportive environment that made me feel comfortable and at ease. Their professionalism and genuine care for their clients truly stood out. They took the time to understand my unique needs and tailored a treatment plan that was specific to my situation. Their approach was compassionate, empathetic, and non-judgmental, which allowed me to openly discuss my concerns and progress. Their expertise and guidance have had a profound impact on my overall well-being. Thank you for helping me on my journey to better mental health!

Front desk worker was extremely disrespectful and lied directly to me about my appointment cancellation and outreach. During the call he was cold and sent me those contact messages (that should have been sent months ago) directly after the call. Not a good look when the staff tries to gaslight you at a mental health clinic. They replaced the entire staff it seems and they are much more corporate than they used to be. New leadership appears to be receptive, however as expected, when you replace your entire staff there are going to be some issues.

The atmosphere exudes loving kindness and acceptance, as if you’re walking into open arms. The staff and practitioners care deeply and it shows. The building was the former home of Gilda’s Club, and her biography is on prominent display, which gives me the ❤️❤️❤️s every time I’m there. I’m so grateful that Mandala House brought me and my amazing therapist together. If there’s a waiting list (and your need isn't urgent) put your name in. It’s a very healing place.

I loved Mandala House when I was receiving treatment there. They were always kind and courteous, both administration and practitioners. I like that the place doesn’t feel clinical, like a doctor’s office, and instead seems more like an apartment. I was always treated promptly and my practitioner communicated clearly if he needed to cancel. When they stopped doing in person appointments during the pandemic, the system was fairly easy to use with few problems. Billing was always fairly easy to understand through the online portal and easy to make payments. Overall, I couldn’t recommend a better facility in Louisville or southern Indiana to serve your needs! I added a nice photo of the waiting area on the floor where I went to appointments. Like I said, not clinical at all!
