HORRIBLE! Lied to numerous times beginning with the very first call to schedule my appointment. I was adamant that it had to be an IN PERSON appt and that I CANNOT do telehealth. When I showed up at my appointment I was told it was telehealth. So I was lied to by the person scheduling it I guess. The confirmation email also gave me instructions on how to get to the office and their policies on covid for an in office appt. So I guess that email confirmation was LIE NUMBER TWO bc it obviously thought it was an in person appointment. At the office when I said I could not do telehealth, she kept trying to convince me I should still do telehealth from their office. (I didnt drive 2 hours to do telehealth. I drove 2 hours bc that is how important an in person appt is.). I requested to reschedule to the next available IN PERSON. Yes, I was upset-crying and hyperventilating and fighting dissociating. NOT AT ALL aggressive or mad or threatening or anything. Just upset bc i thought i was finally going to get help and it turned out I wasn't. I was told "ill give you a little bit to calm down (LIE NUMBER 3) and ill go look up our next available (LIE NUMBER 4)." I did as I was told and sat down and worked on calming down. I was completely calm and still waiting for her to come back with this new appt time. After waiting 15 min I asked "how long does it take to look up your next available appt?" I was told "so you want me to cancel emergency services?" This is when i realized she was not giving me time to calm down nor looking up an appt. She was stalling and trying to get me locked up. LIES. WTH?!?!! Dissociating is not an emergency. Especially since I had explained when I scheduled the appt that telehealth always triggers dissociation with me. It should've been expected! I was then told "Dr Singletary thinks you should be in a hospital." Well, she had NEVER TALKED TO ME OR ASSESSED ME. And lots of people dissociate - NOT AN OFFENSE REQUIRING ANY HOSPITALIZATION. If thats what she thinks, SHE NEEDS TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL AND LEARN ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH. Dissociating is not a crime and not something requiring emergency intervention. She doesnt want to treat people or help people. SHE WANTS TO LOCK PEOPLE UP FOR HAVING THE PROBLEMS SHE IS SUPPOSED TO TREAT. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!
