This provider focuses on behavioral and mood correction for children. Services appear to be geared towards addressing specific behaviors and mood regulation, with an emphasis on correcting behavior rather than punishment. The environment is described as centered around these therapeutic goals, though client experiences suggest potential issues with the implementation of care, including concerns about medication management and interactions with external agencies like DCS. The staff is noted for being friendly, contributing to a supportive, albeit structured, therapeutic setting.

This place is a joke. One of the therapists will sit and laugh and shrug their shoulders when you tell them your child is exhibiting some of the behaviors that are part of the reason why they are needing to see a therapist in the first place. And Etta Eckerson needs to learn when calling DCS is needed. Having a disagreement with a parent over meds and what that parent is going to feed their child is a not a reason for DCS to be called. Also, I learned today from another therapist, that Riley has an agreement signed with DCS so if your child needs more than 4 meds, they either won’t get the meds or a DCS case will be opened if they do and DCS will have complete access to your child’s records without your knowledge or consent.
If you think about sending your child here I would 100% want you to reconsider, unless absolutely necessary. There's no outside time, rarely do the kids get to do anything, and on weekends it pretty much consists of sitting in one room with nothing to do, surrounded by other people which can be a bad thing or a good thing depending on the child. However, the staff is super friendly, and it centers more on correcting behavior and mood than punishment.
