Although Tammi and David appear to have good intentions for their marriage counseling services, their execution and delivery fall short. Rather than remaining neutral, they tend to take sides. Instead of asking thoughtful questions that encourage deep reflection and adhering strictly to the facts, they offer personal opinions and present them as definitive statements. Rather than being uplifting and encouraging, their approach has come across as judgmental and discouraging. They also give the impression that one must already be in a “healed” state before beginning marriage counseling sessions, when in reality, couples who seek their services are often doing so precisely because they are not healed or are actively working through trauma. Unfortunately, based on my personal experience, I left two out of the three sessions I had with them feeling more wounded than when I arrived.
My daughter is a patient. We found the therapist when she was away at college and was going through a tough time. Due to HIPPA I'm not aware of what was discussed, but I saw how my daughter was able to move forward in a positive manner. Thanks to Indianapolis Counseling And Mentoring for their invaluable help.
The staff were very friendly & patient. The therapist listened displaying concern with helping me find my right path . I highly recommend this counseling service …
I worked with Tammi several years ago before her private practice and was so excited to hear she was opening her own space. Past therapists of mine sometimes felt like they were listening only to respond with some articulate verbiage to sound intelligent, but she really talks to you in your own language and adapts to her clients effortlessly—while remaining professional. If you’re looking for a compassionate counselor, start with her. You will never go back!!!
