I was harmed at this practice. Now as a clinician practicing myself, I see how unsafe the methods were used at this practice and that the therapist's need for validation from clients took precedence over the client's internal barometer of overwhelm & wellbeing. I was encouraged to not use my voice and become dependent on a clinician for my answers who jeopardized my safety by prodding for details of traumatic events that caused emotional flooding. Go somewhere else where you can trust the clinician to allow your experience to guide your healing
