It's important to me to find individuals that align with my values. Spoken Balance has stellar staff that are notably by & for community that offer judgement free & culturally adept support.

Thoughtful and sincere. Shows up on time, keeps his books in order, checks in with us regarding keeping us on a regular schedule and is fair. These traits were actually hard to find in a therapist. Spent almost a year trying different therapists out and there were so many kind people who were also fliberdigibits. Asks good questions. Listens with intention. Is on the rarer side of giving direct advice. Which I like. That's the right ratio for me. I don't want never. But I think it's important to let the patient figure a lot out on their own.

I saw that there was a poor review on Megan but she no longer is with Spoken Balance. Let me start by saying this isn't a paid advertisement or review. I'm just a regular client with real life problems. I've been working with David in particular for 2 years now and he is just amazing. Sometimes I'm in awe of the growth I see within myself. David has guided me through some of the hardest times of my life and has empowered me to make better decisions and trust myself while doing so. Definitely love working with David.

Megan was the first therapist I ever saw, and probably the worst. Each time I saw Megan I felt as though she didn’t care about what I was feeling or saying, and was distracted the whole time. She either wasn’t looking at me, looking at her phone, or picking up her pet to show me right in the middle of me sharing personal information. I really would not recommend her as a therapist, I don’t feel like I gained anything from working with her. If you’re looking for a therapist who engages with you and helps talk through your problems, I would recommend looking elsewhere. I’m thankful I moved on and found a great therapist.

Spoken Balance does things in a way that's refreshing -- everything is so transparent and communicative. I appreciate knowing things ahead of time and no surprises. My therapist is available when I need them and is culturally sensitive and aware in ways other therapists have not been.
