Angela and Reparo are 10/10. They truly care about their patients. I’ve never felt so heard, understood and respected. I will recommend them to everyone!
Very good experience here! Great providers and they’ve been very proactive about navigating potential insurance issues, which is not the case every where!
Angela genuinely cares about the wellbeing of her patients. She is so kind and patient during sessions, taking time to answer all of my questions. She is extremely receptive to patient feedback & is quick to respond to any inquiries between visits. I highly recommend Angela to anyone looking for a compassionate healthcare provider!
Honestly, working with Bianca Conner was retraumatizing—and that’s coming from being a full-time Therapist myself. It’s unfortunate because I can tell her medicinal knowledge is vast. That’s her best selling point, but it gets completely overshadowed by her dismissive and assumptive attitude that she would call “direct” or “just getting clarification.” I’m sure she would be helpful to someone who is brand-new to the mental health space with limited self-awareness or psychoeducation & doesn’t mind being talked at vs. talked to. She had this habit of jumping to conclusions about my experience, not always checking in to see if that’s accurate, and flowing right into reciting basic textbook knowledge about self-care—which can be frustrating and dismissive when the difficulties you have are not related to lack of awareness, but lack of will and severe, somatic stressors. But she didn’t get to know that until the end of the session because she would fill the talking space with assumptions and self-disclosures—posturing herself almost like “a big sister who’s been through this before” but ultimately didn’t land or make her feel any more relatable. Just relationally tone-deaf and out of touch with what was being said. She also made a comment conveying surprise that I was having a high level of difficulty because of my work-background. It sounded something along the lines of “you’re a therapist, i’m surprised you don’t know this” (I did know the psychoeducation, but she wasn’t yet listening to understand that my difficulty with apathy & PTSD-like somatic symptoms were the problem here😭) and rationalizing my struggles with “well I guess therapists can be the worst clients (“worst” in this case meaning they are more likely to neglect themselves because they help others for a living). As if to imply, I’m just choosing not to use the tools I have. Like I’m supposed to just CBT my way out of an instantaneous nervous system response…? I brought that to her attention and said “You’re saying this as if it’s that simple.” To which she responded, “It is.” All of this is a form of shaming. While I know that wasn’t intended, I decided to proceed with the follow up appointment—despite my better judgment— to give her this feedback about how she was coming across. I was hopeful based on the glimpses of warmth I did experience that if she knew, she would be mindful. And of course that went even MORE horrendous😭 She immediately got defensive, cut me off mid-sentence, and started talking over me to correct me, nitpicking about the way I recapped her comments—It was quite clear that aggravated her to the point where she lost her train of thought. I told her I was experiencing her as defensive in that moment to which she denied. Holding on to her professionalism by a thread, she finally regulated herself enough to apologize for previously coming across in a way she didn’t intend and decided to thank me for my feedback. But the damage had already been done. I don’t even smoke, but I needed a smoke break after this meeting. So, while you may get the right medication, you’ll have the emotional injuries to show for it if 1) you’re experiencing something slightly different from her expectations and 2) hoping to experience safety. I almost would’ve rather went without medication than to put myself through meeting with her again, but I was in a pinch. Thankfully, I am privileged enough to pivot providers. This was very disappointing because I love Black women, and I want them to succeed but this whole experience was disheartening. I hope she learns from this.
Working with Reparo has been a great experience! Dr. Bianca Conner is wonderful— knowledgeable, personable, and kind. Administrative staff and my medical practitioner alike were so easy to work with and always helped with Rx costs, issues, and changes!
It’s a shame that I’m about to stop seeing the best therapist I’ve ever worked with so early on into my relationship with her, solely because of how poorly this place is ran administratively. Reparo is the first medical service I’ve ever used that charges you for your copays prior to the visit. They say it’s their policy, which is fine. But they don’t send you a bill for it, they just charge the card on file the morning of your appointment. If that card doesn’t go through for any reason, such as it being turned off like I do often, they will call and text you literally a dozen times to get your payment. I’m seeing a therapist here and another NP for ADHD treatment and this place has made my symptoms worse by calling and texting me so many times in the middle of the workday. I am not exaggerating. It’s excessive. I finally asked that they stop communicating with me via phone and text, so they said they would only communicate by email. That worked until a week later when my new appointment was coming up and my card was getting declined because of my bank flagging it for security reasons. That morning, they called multiple times yet again, which is what I woke up to. I cleared the security issue in my banking app and then joined my appointment at the start time a couple hours later. Instead of my therapist being there, it was a billing employee stating my card was still not going through and they had to collect my copay. Because I (correctly) assumed I needed to contact the bank because the funds were in my account and it was still being declined, I knew it would take too long to still have my full appointment, so I told them I was already too mentally overwhelmed to deal with this and to just cancel my appointment since they were denying me service without my up front $40 copay. A few hours later, I received a text asking when I could reschedule and stating they are charging me a $150 no show fee. A no show fee for them denying me service on a day when I desperately needed to see my therapist? Absolutely unbelievable. I’ve never written a review this long and it’s really just such a shame. The NP here who prescribes my medication is great, and the new therapist I’m seeing is beyond wonderful, but this place clearly doesn’t prioritize the mental health of its patients because of how incredibly inconvenient and unusual their billing process is. The fact that I asked them to no longer communicate with me via phone because of how distracting it is to my work, and they continued to do so anyway, says a lot. And in my opinion, communicating about billing issues solely by text rather than sending actual bills or payment links is super unprofessional. Here I am back to square one having to start all over again with new treaters. I’m so disappointed.
This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a mental health professional. Bianca asked great questions, gave me space to talk and listened with great respect and interest. We need more professionals who operate with this level of compassion and care. So thankful I was able to find one who does.
Got an appointment scheduled and confirmed within 24 hours with an amazing doctor with an incredible staff. Very personable and dedicated to patient care. I'm so glad I found this healthcare provider!
I’ve done therapy a handful of times in my life each time I felt skeptical to find another one because I felt like there was no one that can really understand and give the right feedback. Until I found Dr. Mario. I can honestly say that he’s changed my perspective on how I move forward each day. Mario Is without a doubt, the best therapist I’ve ever had and look forward to seeing each time . He listens and is so intelligent and Very determined to help. Each session Is always a breath of fresh air. Highly recommend him for anyone. Very knowledgeable very smart and very respectable and does a tremendous job. Always a pleasure meeting with him.
I can’t say enough positive things about my experience with Sandra at Reparo Health Medical Services. She is an exceptional therapist—compassionate, insightful, and incredibly skilled at what she does. From our very first session, Sandra made me feel heard, safe, and understood. She creates a supportive environment that allows for honest reflection and meaningful growth. Sandra doesn’t just listen—she helps guide you toward real progress and personal breakthroughs with empathy and professionalism. Her ability to balance kindness with accountability has been a game changer for me. I always leave our sessions feeling empowered and better equipped to manage life’s challenges. If you’re looking for a therapist who genuinely cares and knows how to help you move forward, I highly recommend Sandra. She’s been a truly positive force in my life, and I’m grateful every day for the work we’ve done together.
