I cannot speak highly enough about Psychotherapy Associates of Chicago. The therapists I have worked with have been super helpful in many of my life’s challenges and they do a great job combining warm support with motivational goal-setting. In addition, I have recently been working with Jeannette and she has done a fantastic job with my medication management. She is engaging, curious and very thoughtful in her prescribing of meds.
I am a practicing therapist in the suburbs and have known Michael Vernon since 2008. Michael and his colleagues at PAC are highly professional and effective. I am more than happy to refer clients to PAC when the need arises!
I have worked on different techniques in mindfulness therapy for quite some time with Michael and can't say enough about the great experience. Hard to find a therapist with this much experience and happy I did.
I’m not sure if the number is outdated, or if they just don’t answer calls. I called to get some information not on the website about pricing, insurance, etc. No one answered, ever. I called to leave a message about changing my appointment. The therapist didn’t even get the message. I will not be moving forward with this place :( hopefully they can fix this issue in the future.
I’ve worked with Jonathan for almost six years and I can confidently say that making the investment to work through issues in therapy has changed my life for the better. I can see tangible results through the empathetic and personable support Jonathan used to help guide me. Without going to therapy I don’t think my life would have changed so much and now I’m able to much more confidently go about and confidently face challenges. My quality of life is massively changed and I cannot recommend enough that anyone and everyone give it a go.
I have been coming here for over three years and cannot express how much it has helped me during this time. By doing therapy, I have found more clarity and have been able to go about my daily life in a more optimized and pleasant way. Jonathan’s psychotherapy technique is warm and inviting, and I never feel judged - I can be open at all times and don’t feel I have to pretend to be someone else or pressure to change. Jonathan has a real gift and I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to have a better grasp on life and know they have full support while doing so.
I attended sessions at PAC with Michael for 4 years, and it was the most personally helpful thing I have ever done. I cannot say enough good things about Michael as well as the entire practice.
I cannot say enough good things about PAC. I have been seeing Jonathan for years he has exceeded all my expectations. Not only was I provided extensive Psychotherapy but they are very well rounded in how they give advice. Its a combination of Psychotherapy and giving you tangible things in your life to change that will help you make positive progress! I would send anyone I care about to them.
The most unprofessional facility with the audacity to think experts work here. From the image below, I was never responded to for an appointment for almost three weeks. To start off, John, comes across cold and transactional, what a great sign. Then had his colleague Alexis who never reached out via phone nor responded to my emails. I have amazing health insurance and they do not deserve one penny. What a joke. I would recommend reviewing actual professionals in the Chicago area who value potential new clients, show respect, dignity, and do their actual job. From their lack of response via email or phone, I think it's safe to say they aren't worried about new clients or at least ones who don't fit what they perceive to be their ideal client. It does not hurt me to lee my money in my pocket. You all do not deserve to call yourselves professionals.
Psychotherapy and mindfulness are hard to find in one place. This place is great and Michael helped to guide me towards a better understanding of what mindfulness can do for me. Looking forward to more conversations!
