Jamie is an amazing, compassionate therapist and she does a great job with making you feel comfortable, at ease, and understood. She is a very compassionate therapist and I couldn't recommend her enough!
My therapist herself is amazing and has been very supportive during our sessions. However, Pinnacle Counseling’s customer service, specifically its billing department, is hard to work with. I’ve had to contact them several times to address continuous charge changes. On more than one occasion, I’ve had to send another email to prompt them to reply. If you call them, the voice machine says someone will call you back within two business days. I called and sent an email 3 weeks ago due to unexpected changes in how much I’m being charged again, but I have yet to hear from them.
Updated 4/18/2024. I changed my rating after speaking with the owner. Although I can’t give them 5 stars at this moment, I would highly recommend them on how they handled my issue and my session with therapist K’Nya was everything I feel everyone needs when they start their therapy journey. Also, they provided many options to which could help cover costs when insurance isn’t an option. This review has nothing to do with the therapist, it is a rating on the back end staff in BILLING. The therapist I talked to, K’Nya was fantastic and left me excited about the next session. After the initial session, I got an email stating they didn't accept my insurance plan and that I had to pay $175 for the session and $150 after. I'm upset because after the quick consultation over a week before the first session, I submitted my info within 1 hour to be verified. The BILLING department had a week to verify my insurance and let me know the costs. If I would have known, I wouldn't have had the initial session and would have found someone that my insurance covered. I will take some blame for not following up, but I'm left feeling as if it was done on purpose or just laziness. Again, I would recommend the therapist I had, but I would tell you to make sure your insurance is accepted and verified before your first session so you're not out of money you didn't anticipate spending due to the BILLING department.
I have to say that Micki Burton is an amazing therapist & resource that helped me through a particularly pivotal period in my life. Setting up a regular appointment was easy and the offices here are nice and conducive to a calming experience each week I came. I'm sure that the other professionals here are solid, but I know Micki did right by me and always goes the extra mile.
My fiancé and I have been seeing Takisha for a little over a year for pre-marital counseling. Since seeing her, our relationship has improved greatly. As a therapist, her patience, kindness, and understanding make us feel more comfortable to open up to her.
My husband and I have been seeing Takisha for nearly a year, and we cannot recommend her enough! She has totally transformed the way we think about communication in our relationship and has helped us tremendously in navigating life as newlyweds. She is empathetic, funny, and creates a safe space for us to explore and grow as partners. We wish we could give her more stars!
My husband and I have been attending sessions with Takisha for over a year now and we can't recommend her enough! Our journey with her has truly been transformative. She has been a key factor in our growth as newlyweds, and for that we cannot thank her enough. If you're looking for a counselor who's smart, funny, intuitive, attentive, empathetic, and honest - she is your go to!
My wife and I have been seeing Takisha for about a year now, and we can honestly say that she has made a world of difference in our relationship. She does an excellent job making us feel comfortable in her sessions. She has helped in our communication, understanding what each of us needs from the other, and just overall helping us view our marriage like a true partnership. I can't recommend her enough!
Takisha Brooks is an incredible person and is so kind and insightful! I feel like she genuinely cares about my well-being and that she took the time to understand me and how I operate. I recommend her to anyone who is looking for an incredibly smart, funny, and real therapist to work with.
I have been a client of Natalie Underway’s on and off for the past 5 years. Over the past year we have been working closely together (pandemic anxiety, anyone?) and I’m writing today to share that put simply, Natalie has changed my life. Natalie’s approach is welcoming but also incredibly thought-provoking and reflective. She never ceases to make me laugh and bring a smile to my face (at the appropriate time). She’s a true expert at listening and paying attention to my body language, even via Zoom sessions and knows when to dig and when to let me blather. Without fail, after each session with her I feel better and it’s the highlight of my week. Natalie always makes me feel supported. She makes herself available for me when needed, is ALWAYS on time/organized and I don’t know how the heck she remembers so many details (even from years ago), but she is incredibly talented at doing so. She provides me with actionable recommendations during each session so I can work on self-improvement even outside of our sessions. Natalie is an exceptional professional and I feel so blessed that she is a part of my life. She has helped me grow into a better, healthier and happier person that I am today. I am forever grateful for her passion and commitment to her work. If I could scream from the top of a rooftop to let everyone know how amazing she (and the practice) is, I would!
