I have had nothing but positive experiences here. After going to several different practices with limited success, Natalie and Dr. Patel have been incredibly helpful in providing meaningful treatment and support for the few years I have worked with them. I think this was a great place for me to arrive, and I hope that others can find providers that suit their needsβwhether it be here or elsewhere. I would heavily encourage others seeking mental health treatment to reach out to some of the workers here.
I had wèekly and biweekly sessions for grief with Natalie Pollard the past seven months. I found Ms. Pollard to be professional and very helpful in my recovery. She was a great listener and had very useful advice in aid to my life adjustment. Frankly, I feel the speed of my adjustment has much to do with Ms. Pollard's work. In addition, she has been supportive in my recovery. I give Ms. Pollard the highest possible evaluation and would definitely recommend her for anyone seeking therapeutic care.
If you are looking for a therapist I HIGHLY recommend Natalie Pollard here!! She is attentive, compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable! She creates a safe space where you can feel comfortable opening up without judgement. Natalie has helped me gain confidence, develop coping skills for my anxiety, and disrupt unhealthy thought processes to only name a few! I feel extremely lucky and grateful to have found her! 10000/10 her vibe is amazing and I never write google reviewsπ€©π€πΌ
I am quite shocked by the low Google rating for DPC. I have had nothing but pleasant experiences with Mya Shaikh. She has been patient and understanding in helping me with my needs for my conditions and finding the right medications to help me which is still a work in progress. I would highly recommend her to any and everyone if she can take more patients on. 1000 stars from me.
I had such a great experience with this office! The office staff were very friendly and made everything super easy. Communication was smooth, and I appreciated how responsive and kind everyone was when helping me schedule and get set up for my appointment. My session with Mya was wonderful. Even though it was virtual, she made it feel personal and comfortable. She really took the time to listen and understand what I was going through. I never felt rushed, she asked thoughtful questions and helped me feel truly heard and UNDERSTAND. Itβs rare to connect that well with someone over video, but she made it happen.
Dr. Sophia Lazzaroni is great!
i would avoid this place for care. it's been hard for me, for YEARS to disclose my depression and darker thoughts due to trauma in hospitals. when i trusted my psychiatrist enough to disclose these thoughts, rather than schedule an appointment or wait until i was ready to share more, mya called the police on me. i was embarrassed and thought i would be forcibly taken back to a place that gave me PTSD alongside a $3K ambulance bill. they will break your trust if you go here for care, especially if you get the wrong person.
Extremely unprofessional. I would NOT recommend anyone to seek mental health care here. There are many other options that you can find with a quick Google or Yelp search that will treat you better than Nabila and Dr. Rao.
I am so grateful for my psychiatrist, Dr. Aliya Hussain, and the team at DuPage Psychiatric Care! Dr. Rao, who manages and oversees everything, is a wonderful man - he is compassionate, caring, and has immense knowledge regarding the best treatments that maximize mental health. Nubila is a terrific resource and has helped me by answering my questions and resolving a mistake made by my insurance company. MOST IMPORTANTLY - Dr. Aliya Hussain, is the BEST psychiatrist I've ever had! She did a thorough evaluation of my needs, asked about my experiences, and showed genuine care for my well-being! Together, we created a plan to address my mental health issues. Dr. Aliya actively listens, respects me, and regularly checks-in to ensure our plan is working. If you're looking to receive help for ANY mental health issues, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you call DuPage Psychiatric Care!
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Stay away at all costs!!! Nabila, the receptionist is straight up evil. Trust me stay away, especially if you have mental health or medical issues and need medications. I have a decade of experience working for medical offices/businesses and I would never have treated or spoken to a patient like me the way I have been treated and spoken to by not only one of the psychiatrists in the office but also the office staff. Nabila is one of the office staff receptionists who is incredibly aggressive, rude, condescending, unprofessional and honestly doesnβt even sound like she wants to be working there let alone truly helping patients. She yelled at me on the phone, initially refused to give me her name, refused to connect me to a supervisor, and hung up on me. I had to call back several times which she kept ignoring my calls until I was finally able to request a supervisor from someone else and finally got her name so I could include it in this review. Apparently the psychiatrist that I saw that I had a terrible experience with, no longer works at the office which makes sense. The psychiatrist I saw was Mariam Lakhdhir but like I said they told me she no longer works for them but she had zero empathy, was cold like a dead person and treated me like just another number to check mark off her to do list. I remember even sharing with her about my cancer and she didnβt say anything and just went to the next question off her sheet she was reading it sounded like. Now I have made an appointment to see a better psychiatrist and will be transitioning out of this office as soon as my new appointment happens. I never want to deal with this office again. This place will be out of business if they donβt do something about these major issues, get a new receptionist already.
