Dr. Roueen Rafeyan, MD — Psychiatrist in Chicago, IL

I did a rehab for alcohol in 2011 and Dr Raf was the in house Psychologist. I've been with him ever since. He's amazing and he's fair and really listens. Between my Mental health issues and his Polo stories, we could talk for awhile if he didn't have a gaggle of patients waiting in the wings. As busy as he gets I've never felt rushed once in over a 100 visits. Anyway waiting is fun with Donzel running the front. 5 star A+++.

I’m 68 years old and due to my very severe depression I seen a fair share of psychiatrist- your insurance changes and so their networks- he was definitely the best person I met and the best of the best doctor; it was his need to help others what drove him to becoming a doctor not for money or prestige. It shows in every interaction with him. The warmth of his personality mixed with expertise and you have one outstanding doctor you remember for the rest of your life It was pleasure and honor to meet you and be treated by you. I refer clients to him regularly and they are better for it. In my experience he is an exceptional and rare find. I highly recommend.

I’m from a family background of all-medical-workers and has grown up in one of the best medical facility in China; therefore, I’ve seen how my parents and the relatives became numb and indifferent through years from fighting for other people’s lives. I decided myself never become a medical-staff like my family when I was little, and learned to be cautious on the Doctor’s words when they tell me what to do. I came into Dr R’s office by a complete accidence, and strangely never changed another doctor again since the first time I met him. Three years later when I told Dr R I’m leaving for grad school and thanks, he smiled and said “One day I would like to meet with your parents, if they’re willing to come.” I said little, but cried all the way going back home. Because that was a moment I realized I DO trust this doctor for my condition these years, and I KNOW that he is good enough to resolve the complex problems of indifferent and hatful people just like Ma and Pa. Dr Refenyan has a sense of knowing on people, he trusted me when I was “WIRED” “CRAZY” “BAD” and even “DANGEROUS”, so that I had this fortunate chance to became who I really am today. Try. Don’t give up. :)
