He is straightforward and knowledgeable. I have seen 4 doctors in this field and he has asked me far more questions about what is going on in my life and any stressors in my environment than the others. He listens when I tell him if I am experiencing any new challenges, and prescribes accordingly. He is also available via text if you have questions. Now, if you are looking for a very warm/open ended/comforting session, I suggest you look into regular talk therapists for that in addition to medication management. They are two different fields.. have two different expectations.

Since 1 star is the lowest score I'm stuck. If i could i would give him a zero. My daughter went to see "Dr" Kaiser for a new patient intake visit. Upon his first assessment of her he told her all her diagnoses were wrong, including but not limited to her eating disorder (which she spent 20 months in recovery, the first 8 weeks on a feeding tube, in a wheelchair, and 3-4 extra visits to the ER for heart/liver/kidney issues due to the eating disorder), he took her off her seizure meds, and tried to bump her up to 400 mg of trazodone (and perhaps kill her) for a sleep disorder that she doesn't have. Her original doctor was weaning her off of the drug. If he had reas her medical info he would have noticed that she is being treated for a seizure disorder or QTC issue, of which she has both. Along with a couple of other inappropriate comments I wouldn't recommend him if he was the last doctor available.

It's been a few years since Dr Kaiser diagnosed me correctly after being treated and medicated for the wrong condition by other psych workers. He is the best psychiatrist I've seen during my 30+battle with bipolar type 2. I had been falsely diagnosed as schizophrenia. He saw after a few visits bipolar and changed meds that changed my life. I wish i was in Chicago where i couldsee him again. Laurie Kellogg.

I've seen Dr. Kaiser for almost 2 years. Depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for someone who is really warm and fuzzy, look elsewhere. If you want someone who is an absolute expert in the field of psychiatry, this is the doctor you want to see. I've been to good doctors before, so I have a lot to compare him to, and he's hands down the absolute best psychiatrist I've ever seen. His mind is a medical/pharmacological encyclopedia.

I've gone to Dr. Kaiser for almost three years. He took time to regulate my medications. I missed an appointment, but he called me to walk me through things. I've recommended him to others.
