We are very pleased to collaborate with Dr. Melanie Santos at the Chicago Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders. Her expertise in CBT and ACT is outstanding, and she brings clarity and care to a highly effective, evidence-based treatment. Patients referred to her receive thoughtful, research-grounded therapy for OCD and related disorders.
I am so disappointed in the professionalism of Melanie Santos PhD. My daughter suffers from severe panic disorder, and scheduled an appt with her in December, she went over her issues with Melanie Santos and made sure that Melanie could handle her case and provide her effective counseling services. Melanie assured her that she would be able to handle her case, and she recommended my daughter to schedule an appt with her, which was 3 months out. My daughter waited for 3 months while suffering with severe panic attacks and 4 days before her appt, Melanie calls my daughter and tells her that she won't be able to help her and suggested her go to intensive outpatient. What took 3 months to tell my daughter this?!!! It's RIDICULOUS that a counselor with a phd didn't think to call my daughter months sooner that her case was too severe.
