I’ve really appreciated consulting with and working with CFT staff over the years! They have been helpful with getting peers of mine get the right support who are struggling while also helping with some amazing organizational programming regarding Asian mental health. Cant recommend them enough.

I am deeply disappointed with the care I received here. Despite the steep cost for talking therapy with a therapist holding a PsyD qualification, the quality fell far short of expectations. The therapist’s poor interpersonal skills made the sessions uncomfortable, and I often felt disrespected and judged. Although I won’t name the professional for confidentiality reasons, I am profoundly disturbed by how they handled my treatment, especially given the serious and severe symptoms I sought help for. They failed to address my concerns, did not provide adequate support, and dismissed my comments often without offering any validation. This experience has left me feeling more destabilised and frustrated, and I deeply regret the money and time I spent. I strongly discourage others from seeking services here and urge you to critically assess the quality of care you receive to ensure it aligns with the highest standards of therapy practice.

Center Focused Therapy has been an exceptional partner for my patients that have mental health needs. Feedback I have gotten is that their team is professional, timely, available, and provide excellent care. In particular my patients with specific culturally sensitive mental health needs found Center Focused Therapy to be a unique, comfortable, and safe space for care.

Center Focused Therapy is a trusted mental health practice I have had pleasure of coordinating care with and referring to. On many occasions, I’ve referred to their therapists for individual therapy and for groups and have received positive feedback from the people who have interacted with Center Focused Therapy. In my experience consulting with their staff, I have found them to be professional, kind, and competent. Importantly, I have felt confident in referring diverse clients to this practice as their staff have demonstrated high cultural competence. I highly recommend Center Focused Therapy to anyone who is looking for mental health services in Chicago!

I was looking for an Indian therapist and was responded to by Kanchan Prakash. She was very respectful and responsive to my emails and after the pre counseling interview, she and I had scheduling conflicts so she told she will send me to another counselor who is indian. Sindhu singh was who was given to me. She emailed me early October and I told her of my availability. She never responded back. We contacted once more and nothing till the end of year. I contacted the organization with my complaint and they were more than happy to assist me with finding another counselor which will fit my needs and in network with my insurance, as well as talk to Ms. Singh and she apologized to me as well.
