they were so amazing to me while i was in the psych ward. Mrs Jacqueline was so sweet to me. I will never forget how quick one of my doctors (she moved shortly after, and i forgot her name) were so quick to care for me when an incident happened there with another patient. the only problem i had was that my therapist very rarely saw me. I only saw him when I got there and for the meeting with my parents. I was never able to share my thoughts because my parents were there. but other than that, the ward was amazing and im so beyond greatful for everyone who cared for me. God bless.
Dr. Sims is wonderful; she has helped my son immensely and had such a positive impact on our family!
Vicki is a wonderful therapist. She creates a safe space to share and assist with any issues I am dealing with. The receptionists are always kind and professional!
The inpatient accommodation is the best! Nurses are extremely competent ( they have been there for decades), doctors love to listen to our concerns and the place is very clean. We love Miss Vangundy too! She is very serious, dedicated and made sure her patients are safe. She made sure our concerns are addressed. Love it!
I was admitted like last week and overall Iβd say it was a pretty good stay. I really loved nurse Deb, nurse Stacy and Nurse Rachel! They were very kind! there was one nurse who was quite rude and wouldnβt respect my boundaries. Her name was Jackie and she had a bit of an accent. She was looking for me for a while and when she found me she pulled me into a hug I was extremely uncomfortable and I told her βcan you please not touch me? I donβt like thatβ and she literally told me βoh Iβm sorry I like touching peopleββ¦ so yeah. But other then that this unit is a great place to go to highly recommend it.
Dr. Sarah Robinson is very patient, flexible, and engaging with her patients. She maintains a positive attitude and professionalism at all times and does her best to accommodate our ever changing childβs needs.
Nurse Stacy, Nurse Zowie, and Nurse Erin were amazing to my daughter. They made her feel safe and valued. Nurse Jackie was very disrespectful to my daughter and the other patients. She belittled them and made them feel bad about themselves and the reasons they were in the hospital. She told them βIβm only here for a paycheck, and go home to my daughter.ββ She made it very obvious that she felt her daughter was superior to the children in the hospital.
Last month on the 24th I was admitted here. One of the staff members showed me my room and gave me all I needed to get settled in. The rooms are bland but very nice, and the beds aren't so bad either. The therapists and doctors were all very nice and take their time with you, treating you equally. They tweaked my medications and put me on different antidepressants that seem to actually be helping me. All of the nurses were very nice and checked in on me, giving me my medications and talking to me about how I was feeling. They write down everything from little physical things you do to the words you say. I met a lot of nice people there as well and had a bond with my roommate. The activities we performed were very fun and entertaining, and helped me learn a lot and actually want to get up out of bed in the morning. I didn't want to leave, actually. But after 9 days of being there they discharged me and gave me outpatient appointments. I really reccomend going here, but now that I've turned 18 I cant go back. So this is the perfect place for adolescent and young children to go to seek behavioral help.
